I would say this should be an eye-opener if these people had any self-awareness.

They are aware, they just don't expect the law to apply to them.

One of the main traits of woke thinking is that the law should apply differently to different demographics rather than without prejudice.

Just like mandatory arrest laws for DV that had a massive spike in female arrests that feminists then had to fight against because it was hitting females and then managed to get laws/polices in place that stopped that.

The recent case of the high profile women convicted of beating her husband for twenty years has shocked people. One of the things that really freaked me out about it was that she would open the bedroom window and the shout and scream “stop hitting me!” as a means to control him and prevent him reporting the abuse she was inflicting (and preventing him from divorcing her). To its credit the Daily Mail ran their interview with the victim as a headline story and covered the entire case in way more detail than other sites like the BBC or Guardian.

The fact that she only got four years is outrageous for the level of torture she inflicted on her husband.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. This sort of thing got exasperated during the #believeallwomen trend but for a long time it's basically one of those things people will just not believe unless they have experienced it themselves or seen it happen to someone they know.

I don't know how common it is but it's pretty horrifying. It makes you wonder how many DV cases are where the man snaps.

It's hard to say what you would actually do in such a situation but I tend to think it's a very risky prospect for the woman as the man might just decide, well if I'm going to jail anyway might as well go for a good reason.

These women really have an insidious way of controlling their victims though.

I have a friend who is a massive gorilla of a man, and an ex-partner of his was abusing him for ages. One day she hit him and he fled the flat without his shoes, keys or phone and walked miles barefoot to his mum’s house to get away. When he got there his girlfriend was already waiting for him with a self-inflicted bruise on her cheek and his mum was convinced he had hit her.

Eventually, he woke up one morning just as she was trying to stab him and thankfully he managed to stop her before she did serious damage. But he couldn’t go to the police because he was afraid she would just claim that he was beating her.

Yeah sounds about right to me. Person I had the displeasure of knowing loved the "I'm going to kill myself" gambit and would throw themselves under the car to keep their victim from leaving.

I don't know how you're supposed to deal with those sorts of situations. I believed the guy in that case because I know him really well but it really came out of nowhere. Girl is just going to try to emotionally manipulate everyone around.

I kinda do think it's still best to go to the cops though even if she is going to lie about it. They'll likely believe whomever goes to the cops first but frankly I think it's better to spend the night in jail where the psycho bitch can't get you then spend the night at home.

Still of course when you're trapped in those situations you can't exactly think clearly. I've called a few bluffs before from these types though nothing that severe. It's usually shit like they want my password to something.

"Why won't you give me the password you don't trust me!"

"Frankly no".

Then they try to play the game where they're like.

"Hey everyone this guy doesn't trust me he's so mean!"

And I'm like, yeah pretty much. If you want to broadcast the fact I don't trust you that's fine. Saves me the trouble of doing it.
