Just looked into the Tennessee de trans thing and all it does is ban hormones and surgery for people under 18.

Again, I really don’t understand how not sterilizing and otherwise hobbling or mutilating kids who aren’t straight or otherwise don’t conform to gender norms is genocide. Such absolute bullshit.

[–]ClassroomPast6178 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

I think they’re desperate for there to be “trans kids” because it means that they’re “born this way” and it validates them. They also know that 90+% of children with gender identity disorder desist if they are not pushed down the medical intervention route - again puts doubt on the “born this way” and indicates that it’s a temporary mental health issue or fetish.

It’s why they’re so determined to outlaw talking therapies under the guise of “conversion therapy” because it fucking works and again indicates that the whole thing is a mental disorder (and/or fetish).

It’s despicable that they want to mutilate children in order to find their own validation.

There is also a not small contingent of "sissification" fetishists that share a venn diagram with pedos. Go to any trans board and the grooming is absolutely rampant.

I remember back on Reddit, before the original TiA got burned out, there were quite a few featured posts from other subs that catered specifically to that sissy shit, and the number of people in there who were openly hungering to "crack the egg"--troon-speak for converting someone--with regards to teen boys was nauseating.

The only thing worse was when they got a live one (or, at least, someone who claimed to be a teen boy). Then it was a feeding frenzy.

There was a day when the make up artist subreddit had a featured post from a troon with a username along the lines of 'SissyBaby'

Picture a 60-something bald man with the most pathetic swabs of blue on his eyelids. That's it.

The post was flooded with awards and aFfIrMaTiOn.

But if an actual woman posted something so pathetic it wouldn't get a single upvote.

Remember when all the kids wanted to be cowboys, then greasers, then hippies, then punk rockers, then goth, then grunge... Kids like to try on personas to have a group to fit in with, to rebel, to have a unique identity. Kids have always been like this, now the latest trend is to be "non binary". It is exactly the same as all the other trends kids were into, except this time it comes with permanent sterilization, mutilating surgeries, massive medical debt, depression, ostracization from society and suicide. At least when I was done with my grunge phase I could take the flannel off, kids eventually grow out of it. You can't grow out of chopping you dick and balls off.

[–]ClassroomPast6178 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The medical and psychological professions need to burn for their collusion in this shit.

If they hadn’t been in a rush to virtue signal and in some cases make a quick buck, then the trend would have just been exactly like every other trend you describe. Without the collusion of endocrinologists, surgeons and psychologists it would all be reversible.

Rampant narcissism? Cluster B personality disorders? We can speculate. But regardless not getting their way immediately is genocide. Not getting doted on constantly is genocide.

I call this "emotional terrorism". Similar to the "If you don't give me what I want I am going to kill myself" strat. Most normal people are so emotionally disturbed by that they either shut up or they say something dumb and then the emotional terrorist used that as a way to try to make themselves look good and the other look bad. Regardless it completely hijacks and conversation.

The genocide argument is similar. Genocide is bad naturally, this is not genocide, but if you can hijack any conversation with hysterical nonsense and use that to emotionally beat your opponents into submission you can keep the conversation off the rails to prevent the more rational voices from arriving at the conclusion that we are looking at a mental health epidemic that is spread via social contagion and is being taken advantage of by a profit before people focused medical industry which has zero qualms profiting off of teenagers identity crisis.

If anything is genocide, the trans surgeries and hormones are far closer to that then anything. Since sterilization is a consequence of that. And well, sterilization of a population is genocide isn't it?

[–]RuinedSpiral 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

Very well said. Could not agree more on all of your points. I am honestly pretty left leaning overall but this particular issue is a big exception to that, and I can’t believe more people on the left don’t see the pharma industry angle and the sterilization of people who don’t fit in for what they are. It drives me nuts.

Maybe they do and their either just scared to say anything or in denial about it? Maybe both?

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm quite sympathetic to the religious belief argument where this has become a new social "religion" of sort where people believe something to be true to an hysterical degree even when it's patently incongruent with reality.

That's an argument that you'll have a difficult time making in public because it lends itself to comparison with actual religious people, but I think it's basically the same thing.

I pointed out a part of the bible to a hardcore zealous christian claiming that there "zero errors" in their chosen English translation of the bible where a certain Israelite king had his length of reign listed in two different books with two wildly different dates. Something like 4 years vs 14 years.

Now I am no scholar of Hebrew, but it seems to me the most logical explanation would be that at some point, a transcriber miswrote fourteen as four. Forgetting the ten. This explanation however was not acceptable to the Christian zealot however because it violated the precept that the bible is perfect with no errors. This precept of course is absolutely 100% true after all. It must be. And so the zealot after an initial response of anger at me for giving them such a simple and not easily refutable example from their own preferred translation of the bible, came up with an explanation they had found where "sometimes the Israelites counted years differently" which I can't argue against. I don't know? Sometimes being this one specific passage that for all appearances seems a simple transcription mistake?

For a far more extensive example see creationism.

Trans activists basically I think hold the same kind of "religious" belief in the, well the concept of gender (I don't believe there is a single convincing material argument for the existence of gender as a separate concept from sex) and when anyone comes along with something that challenges that view they need to attack it, because s self reflection of their own views will see the ideological convictions collapse.

[–]LyingSpirit472 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

For the "Bible is 100% true with zero errors", the perfect counter to that is the infamous "sinner's Bible"- a minor transcription error like that of "one says 4, one 14" is effectively inconsequential." A famous typo in Bibles that literally changes one of the Ten Commandments, on the other hand, is much harder to ignore- and you either have to admit sometimes a typo can even happen in the Bible or agree it is everyone's moral imperative to commit adultery now.

But back to the "trans religion" nature- I agree there is this religious viewpoint, but somehow WORSE than religion, because the followers of the gender religion worship themselves. This is even more than the "Satanism is said to be a religion based on worshipping yourself", even- other people who view the self as the real idol to worship usually accept the possibility that they may be wrong and will adjust their beliefs upon proof they're wrong about something. The followers of the gender religion, on the other hand, do not...and it makes it even worse than the true believer in religion. If you prove the religious zealot's God is wrong, it'd see their ideological convictions collapse, devastate them, destroy their idol to the point all that is left is their broken soul with nothing to believe in...but for the gender zealot, (to prove their God is wrong is to prove THEY, PERSONALLY, are wrong*. You destroy their idol AND their soul at the same time, because their idol is their soul...and if you destroy both at once, for the zealot they truly have nothing left in life- not only nothing to believe in, but no self, no soul, just a shell of a person.

End result- you have where they come from with the "this is literally genocide and they're literally murdering us"- to them, if they fail and they lose their gender religion, there really WOULD be nothing left of them, and the "literal murder" comes because they'd have nothing left on such a profound level that no one would blame them for ending it.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

For the "Bible is 100% true with zero errors", the perfect counter to that is the infamous "sinner's Bible"-

Nah see we are dealing with entrenched double think here. The type of person that believes their favored bible translation is somehow divinely protected from error will have no qualms whatsoever pointing out the errors and flaws in so called "false translations" they'll simply be unable to reconcile how those same problems also apply to them.

The issue is, essentially the opposite of the scientific method. With the scientific method you are supposed to make observations then come up with a theory that explains them. The theory needs to be changed as new observations are made that contradict that.

Religion is different because religion must purport to be the absolute truth. I don't want to criticize it too much because I do think religious beliefs and institutions have an important role to play in human society, but some people will take the religious teaching as literal fact contrary to the observable reality.

Creationists do this, they believe that since the bible is 100% literal truth than observations must be interpreted in that light. This of course leads to very rediculous and mental gymnastic explanations for certain things we can observe. Starlight taking more than 6000 years to reach earth being one good example. But the issue with them isn't so much that they wish to make a biblical argument, it's that when it comes to science, if we have many different people examining the same evidence independent of each other, eventually they should both reach similar conclusions. Using the bible as a way to interpret the evidence then doesn't fit well with the scientific method since it shouldn't matter if you had it or not you should come to the same conclusions, and you don't.

The trans ideological creep into academia isn't much different but instead of a codex of sacred texts they've essentially created a kind of social orthodoxy surrounded around as you say, the primacy of the self above all else. I think the main core of it is the teaching "You can be whatever you want to be". I'd argue that the truth is closer to "You can do whatever you are capable of" though that begins to stray into a tautology.

You tell the kids they can be whatever they wanna be when they grow up. I think that's kinda a good thing, you want to encourage them. But it is in actuality a lie. What would you tell a blind kid who wants to be a bus driver? What would you tell a boy that wants to be a mother?

You can do what you can do. And you can't do what is impossible. Because if you can achieve the impossible, it was never impossible.

[–]LyingSpirit472 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly on the parts with the Bible side- and that's the same as most problems with the world today (not just in this instance, but in pretty much all sides of politics or things made political):

Instead of the scientific method of "start with a theory and testing it to find the conclusion that is right", people start with the conclusion that they want to hear is right, and then work backwards until they find proof they were right all along. It's not even just the woke, it's the same on the opposite side too (witness people who can see the proof in COVID, and will ignore all the studies and facts on one side- but when they're on a random mommy blog (which also said the same proof as was originally made)...but one comment by an MLM hun trying to lure new people in talked about how COVID could be cured by simply using essential oils...but only the essential oils from her company, and honestly the oils from her company won't even work as well unless you buy them specifically from her or her downline....well? They have all the proof they need! The research panned out, scientific proof they were right all along!

As far as the other side, the answer is how many people have arrested development in the world right now. Whatever the reason [still needing to be dependent older due to how it's nigh-impossible to get on your feet, the generations being poorer than their parents and having no real hope of changing that], people aren't getting that moment where life kicks them in the ass and tells them that it's impossible, and they can't be that thing.

Hell, the fact that the job market sucks may even lead to more of this as well: If you know "you can have a good, stable job, have a family, and live a normal life, and that's fine if you didn't get to live your dream" or "you have your big dream and the thing you want to be when you grow up", eventually people will give up on the latter when it becomes impossible in favor of the former. But what happens when "a normal life" is just as much of a fantasy as that "fantasy dream job you have"...and with many of the people trans ideology is getting like autistic people, even "a shitty life" is somehow ALSO as big a fantasy as "that one fantasy you have"...well, the more and more normal or even shitty lives become fantasy, the more and more people will decide "well, both of these are just a fantasy, I'm going after my real dream in life and if I die trying, at least I'll know I tried." If the blind kid may have it be impossible to be a bus driver, but a normal job or life is just as impossible- best to keep hoping and hope that self-driving technology will improve enough so a blind kid could be a bus driver on "you just sit in the seat and it drives itself". If the boy who wants to be a mother sees it impossible, but "you just find a woman and you become the father" is equally impossible, you see them keep fighting for "If I don't get to have a girlfriend, I'll BECOME the girlfriend" and then be a stepmother to someone's kids.

Maybe sterilizing the would-be gays is a way to remove weak genes and the emotionality is a way to create a backlash against the behavioral sink that will destroy society ala mouse utopia uni 25?

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think that's putting far too much credit to them having a coherent plan. It's best to take Occam's razor to these sorts of issues and look for the simplist explanations. And while the outcome is certainly the mass sterilization of many who are "gay" the reasoning behind that is most likely money

Trans surgeries and hormones regiments aren't cheap. Drug companies will certainly have a profit motivation to recommend them. And they'll have a profit motivation to lobby the government to subsidize them as that will allow them to keep prices high and reap the profits. The long term societal effects of it are largely irrelevant as they'll be seeking short term quarterly gains and retiring hopefully before the shit hits the fan. It's a problem with capitalism. You can call it crony capitalism or corruption or whatever you wish but any time profit motives are held against the well being of society and the individual then there will always be some amoral profit seeker waiting in the wings to make as much money as possible. You need only look at the drug cartels for this. Illegal yes but they don't care about the social harm they are causing so long as they can become rich.

Now this is the natural state of the world of course. The profit motivation itself is not entirely bad. We aren't going to benefit our society going after utopian communist ideals of zero property or classless societies or whatnot, but we do need to have strong laws and enforcement of those laws to protect against the excesses of the capitalist system where people will lust after riches regardless of who it harms.

The previous adoption of gay capitalism wasn't much different. Though the "rainbow Skittles" or "gay airline tickets" or whatever other marketing nonsense they came up with wasn't harmful to society in and of itself. But the motivation to market after the gays is simply driven by a desire to appeal to what is a largely affluent segment of society with high disposable income rather than any ideological motivation. The average gay couple having no children and living in "well to do" liberal cities having a large amount of disposable income to spend on various non-necessary goods. The push to legalize gay marriage comes from a similar motivation as wedding businesses certainly profit off of expanding their clientele, as well as the motivation for easier divorce laws as well can be drawn back to a similar motivation, getting married more than once means more weddings, less kids, and more money to be had by the wedding companies.

McCarthyism really did a number on the American psyche when it came to the critical thinking of these economic issues. Almost all of the social issues that the west faces today have root causes in economic issues that are allowed to take root when profiteering is allowed to continue unfettered by any restrictions of morality or common decency. That's not to say the free markets and profit motives are entirely bad things. But it's not surprising that following the massive suppression of communist ideologies through the public school system and propoganda campaigns that criticism of the increasingly corporate structures of American society was left to the outcasts and drug addicts, the hippies, and other people who simply would not be taken seriously as they were by and large idiots themselves, even when they did stumble into good ideas from time to time.

We are simply seeing natural result of what happens when unfettered capitalism needs to continue to find new and varied ways of profiteering as the "little guy" is further and further pushed out of the game by the big players and forced to beg for scraps like a unwanted dog.

There is not one explanation, there is an explanation at each level of the pyramid. At the pharma level, absolutely its about addiction for profit. Creating addictions is profitable and these behavioral sink city-rodents have plenty of money to pay for their distractions. There is a level above the money though and a level below it. At the level above, eugenics. At the level below, social status.

The coherence is in the harmony between these levels.

I can’t believe more people on the left don’t see the pharma industry angle

This is just speculation on my part, so YMMV. But I think that the left, as a whole, has been so inculcated to trust Science--because it's based on "facts" unlike the icky religion that those bad people on the other side love so much--that they genuinely don't consider that the pharmaceutical industry is about money. To their minds, Science is Good, Pharma is Science, therefore Pharma is Good.

[–]alladd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I think pharmaceuticals/psychiatry offers an easy explanation for things that are difficult and complicated, and convincing yourself that you're the problem for not taking enough of the right drugs is an easier pill to swallow than going "okay, I need to fundamentally change my relationship to the world, cut out toxic people, get a different job, probably move somewhere nicer, exercise and eat better, reinvest in my hobbies, try to make new friends..."

In the end both religion and SSRIs offer an alternative to the hard reality change that really needs to happen.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Seems fair to me. I see a lot of people who hit their bottom with drugs and bad lifestyles and the like find Jesus and manage to turn around I think it's a good thing overall, better than drugs I think overall but the similarly is there, they've found something that changes their pattern of thought and behavior and allowed them to improve themselves.

I think the main thing with Christianity here is it gives people a kind of escape from the mental spiral into depression when they realize that they are responsible for fucking up their own life and they could have not done that if only they were able but they don't understand why they are not. With Jesus basically they can blame their temptations on satan, some other, that's not them, the desires don't come from themselves, and they can mentally remove themselves from it and find the mental willpower, or say that Jesus has given it to them, to make a change for the better.

Whereas drugs kind of force the same changes in their patterns of thought chemically. A thought anyway. I've always noticed the late converts to religion always have a very different mindset towards it than people raised in ot.

But just think. About it. The elephant in the room no one wants to think about.

Where does this world come from, and why can't we leave?

I don't care too much for his supposed adherents nowadays, but this Jesus guy got too many things right for it to merely be bullshit. It is about the most anti-human and anti-world thing I have ever seen; even I hadn't even come close before (and I have yet to find anyone else who is moreso than I was; it's a long story but my situation revealed the evil nature of the world to me). Never before had I witnessed someone getting so many things right.

The funny thing is I was raised Christian and was never ever taught anything like this. At this point Christians more resemble the Pharisees, the religious fanatics who wanted and got Jesus brutally executed for "blasphemy".

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Where does this world come from, and why can't we leave?

Lot's of worlds out there and they come from material condensing into to spheroid shapes via gravitational fields. You can't leave due to those same gravitational fields.

Or if you prefer the more esoteric answer, the origin of the universe is unknown. You can say god did it. You can argue that the original of the universe is an irrelevant question because we don't even understand how time is relevant from the point of view of the question "what happened before time". But regardless this is well outside the realm of human understanding, so it seems very much reasonable to believe in a divine origin, though that delves into philosophy rather than hard science.

The very nature of the supernatural is that if we could prove it's existence scientifically it would cease to be the supernatural. Science is the study of the natural. Naturwissenschaften as the Germans put it. The knowledge of the natural world.

You of course can leave the universe very easily. It's called death. We all do it eventually. As for what happens to "you" after that. Again that leaves the realm of the natural sciences as it is simply impossible to describe anything that happens outside the natural world with the laws of nature.

[–]alladd 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Our society individualizes everything as an out for not having the capacity to structurally change, including mental health and medicine. It results in funny-looking doublethink positions by ostensibly left-leaning people where they insist they want to assert their anticapitalist independence, but also don't think twice about believing that their brains are fundamentally broken and the only way to find true happiness is in modern medicine and cosmetic surgery.

It's simple really. Trannies can not reproduce. The only way they can increase their numbers is by converting others. Prevent them from converting others and their numbers will naturally dwindle.
