Watched this video this morning.

An interesting look at how someone gets sucked into the trans world through their child. Thank goodness that they appear to have realised before too much harm was done. Interesting that a lesbian didn’t realise that she was transing away the gay for her son though, and that she realised that her younger son was just trying to emulate his older brother when he claimed to be a girl like and didn’t start transitioning him.

Just reading a bit about munchausens mothers which says they get off on depriving their kids of things. So maybe she could have stepped in and stopped it but part of her likely wanted him to find out the predictable consequences of his actions so she deprived him of honest feedback until medical transition got too close. Not to say she is full blown abusive but most of us have done this with our annoying relatives at some point rather than stepping in and not being thanked for it.

Even beyond just Munchausen's, it's as likely it was the mother having her plan and wanting it. How many of these trans super-young kids are because they feel it, and how many of it is "Mommy wanted a pretty little girl who'd grow up to be her best friend, and it's SO MEAN she had to give birth to a yucky boy...well, looks like science can give me what God wouldn't let me have."

That's a well known phenomenon actually. Some women are crazy. And really should not be in any position of authority over children, their own or otherwise. Society as a whole tends to give parents a really wide birth on their decisions and parents like this will absolutely go and bite the head off anyone who suggests they are doing something wrong, and I think most people don't understand it because they haven't experienced it first hand, but if you've ever been in any sort of close relationship with one of these crazy people you know, they're absolutely bonkers insane, they'll be using whatever emotional manipulation tactics they can use to keep themselves in the right and to pass blame on whomever it is who is drawing attention to what they are doing.

Things work better when family units are intact, especially extended family with grandparents uncle's aunt's cousins etc, since it makes it far harder for the crazies to go off down the crazy rabbit hole, and does provide someone who can step in outside of the normal social dynamics and essentially call rank as it were to put a stop to the insanity. But it's not always successful.

It's the #believe all women. Phenomenon really. Women getting victimized by men is certainly the more common occurrence in some ways. But most people haven't had to deal with a truly crazy woman in their lives, and can't even imagine the situation where a woman attacks herself in order to manipulate her partner. Or threatens to stab herself and then call the cops on her partner unless she gets her way right now.

Once you've had to deal with that sort of person it becomes extremely difficult to ever trust any woman again in an intimate relationship. And frankly the mother child relationship with it's power dynamics going on there can make the whole situation even worse if for whatever reason the mother is crazy or evil, or both. This is just yet another case of "My child is so special" mothers who prefer the attention they get more than what's best for the child. The far less damaging and more common example you see is the "my child is gonna be the next Michael Jackson" type parents whose kid is obviously not talented. Hilarious in that case. Less so when the kid is actually Michael Jackson and talented and you can watch the poor bright kid get broken by weird family pressures.
