But homosexuals are probably particularly sensitive, since it's so close to homophobia; the idea that they're doing to others what they believe (rightly or wrongly) is done to them is a sore spot.
Gays don't like the troons waving around their -phobia hammer around so carelessly it loses all effect. Homophobia can go fuck itself next to transphobia as simply being the bigoted slurs they ever were. This is what the concern was, that things like all this tranny bullshit would happen. It wasn't homophobia, it was a legitimate concern. So's transphobia just a slur for another legitimate concern.
