The question these people need to answer is “Why?”. Why is it so important to them that children are exposed to an adult burlesque performers (who are often just doing nothing but lip syncing to songs and dancing in a sexually suggestive fashion whilst wearing revealing clothing)?

I wouldn’t allow a <16 year old to go to a Madonna or Lizzo show, so why is it so fucking important that they be allowed to go to see a man dress up as a woman and do a vastly inferior version?

Why is there no one suggesting that gay doctors, lawyers and airline pilots visit schools and talk about how they got on as gay teens and became successful professionals? Yet they are so desperate to present quite an old fashioned stereotype of gayness to young children?

I think it's because there was a nontroversy over whether drag was Mandatory or whether it must be Banned Forever (like "womxn" a while back)--wicked cishomos dressed in outrageous mockeries of womanhood to make the straights laugh at them?!

then the ALT-RIGHT MAGA CHUDS appeared and they closed ranks around "a cornerstone of the LGBT experience" and forgot that there even CAN be a controversy that doesn't fit into the DeSantis-vs.-Kamala Harris paradigm

I think the people wanting drag performances for children are wrong and those wanting to ban drag are wrong.

I have zero problem with adults enjoying adult entertainment but the key word is adult.

I know that Queer Theory is all about breaking taboos, and I suspect that that’s the whole point of exposing children to increasingly sexual situations and experiences, whether that be teachers dressing up like rejects from the Ringling Brothers (no school I’ve worked at would allow staff to dress like I see the teachers on LibsofTikTok) and discussing their sexual preferences and “gender identity” (never once have I felt the need to do that with my classes, and find it uncomfortable to answer even tame questions like “are you married?” and the follow up “why aren’t you married?”) or inviting in drag performers and discussing transgenderism. It’s all there to acclimatise children to these topics and it’s suspect as hell.

yeah, note that there's "trans 4-year-olds" a la Desmond is Amazing (of course never against their parents' will, mysteriously) but nobody's talking "gay 4-year-olds" because the gays learned to AVOID stereotypes instead of jumping into them headlong ...

part of it I think is because "gay" means something while "trans" carefully excluded actual dysphoria since 2016, because if you wanted to signal to everyone who saw you that you're quirky you had to spend some money on cat's eye glasses/hair dye/tiny hats

the people insisting on it are red flags, like how the 5'o-clock-shadow shower masturbators were the ones SO insistent on locker rooms, bathrooms, and prisons: the trans women kicked out weren't trying to pass; it'd be like someone taking advantage of the unfair firing of a Grade 8 coach for having a husband to go "yes YES I can be trussssssted with children"

The DesmondIsAmazing thread on KiwiFarms is just about the most depressing and disturbing thing I’ve read. It’s clear that he has been exposed to things no child should experience and his mother is responsible. It’s abuse.

Anyone who says their 4 year old is gay to me gets one response. "How do you know that? Did you fuck them or did you just watch?"

Followed by an immediate call to the cops.

The question these people need to answer is “Why?”.

The answer: Because these are insane, extreme narcissists.

Because they are insane extreme narcissists, whenever there's an issue in the world, their only thought about the issue is "but how does this effect ME?".

With "don't let children get exposed to adult burlesque shows", they don't care about the rights of the drag queens or even what they're doing. They care that if this happens, THEY may not get what they, personally, want somewhere.

(Note: Considering how hardline the anti-drag show laws are [one recent one was so hardline that "drag" was defined as "anyone singing or dancing while wearing makeup", which literally goes down to "a cis woman going to the dance club or singing is technically illegal under this law"], they kind of have a point.)

The idea is that because some kids have been sexually abused then the ones who haven't are privileged. I'm not joking.

As privilege is unfair, it must be taken away so all the kids raised in good homes must be corrupted and queered to give them the same issues that abused kids have to achieve equity.

Those kids will then be angry and will want to change society which will then lead to them creating a marxist utopia.

It's just that evil and stupid.

I'd have no issues with gay doctors lawyers or airline pilots going to schools and talking about how they struggled as teens and how they went on their professional journey, but the question is, why does it matter that they are gay?

That's the stupid part for me. "I fuck men, therefore I am a pilot" how does that track? Why does it matter? Like imagine if a straight man came into school and gave a talk like "When I was your aged I struggled to get a date but now I'm a successful doctor and I have my choice of ass". Or "I fucked everyone in highschool and it gave me the interpersonal skills to be a successful lawyer and fuck people over in the courtroom".

I mean might as well have Monica Lewinsky come in and give an inspiring speech about how sleeping with the president help her to be an accomplished author.

I don't mind the teenagers who are gay having the positive stereotypes by which you can tell them, you aren't broken, your life doesn't have to be shit. But if I'm getting called into a meeting with teens to talk about my professional career you bet your ass I'm not touching highschool dating advice with a 10 foot pole beyond the common platitudes of be yourself, focus on your studies now. Etc.

Because gay or straight anyone taking an interest in the sex lives of highschool students is playing with fire. That shit never works out.
