Canada has completely changed my mind in regards to euthanasia, I used to think it was in line with the liberal concept of individual rights and freedoms - the freedom to choose the manner and time of one’s death to avoid suffering and preserve dignity. Now, however, the legislative creep that has occurred in Canada has persuaded me that despite the fundamental concept being right, the inability to prevent further meddling with legislation and the weird way in which progressives have decided to widen the qualifications for those seeking euthanasia (some perverted desire for inclusion maybe?), means I can no longer support it in any form.

Progressives have once again proven that the slippery slope isn’t always a fallacy.

I do wonder whether this transgender person will, if he goes through with assisted dying, be listed amongst the transgender martyrs (Trallahu Ackbar!) on Trans Day of Remembrance.

Canadian here with the same impressions.

If this person chooses assisted dying, he won't be the first. I remember one of my peaking moments was reading about a Belgian trans man, years ago, who opted for assisted suicide after a phalloplasty gone wrong.

I don't doubt there will be a lot more suicides in the future, assisted or not.

I need to clarify a point.

I presume that Canada has, as it has a parliamentary system like Westminster, a provision in its constitution that means that no Parliament may bind a future Parliament - meaning that laws can always be amended or repealed. I think that this is an absolutely necessary provision, the consequences of allowing a Parliament to pass a law that could not be amended or repealed by a future Parliament don’t bear thinking about.

However, the consequence of this safety measure is that a reasonable law, like allowing terminal cancer patients in intractable pain to control the manner and time of their death can morph into a law where someone with depression can suicide with state assistance and THAT is outrageous.

This hasn’t only happened in Canada, it’s been a problem with the euthanasia law in Belgium too, it seems that the pro-euthanasia side cannot help themselves and seem set on widening the qualifications for assisted suicide until they’re installing suicide booths on street corners.

The Gender Medicine industry needs to be stopped and the people involved need to be thrown in jail. They know damn well these surgeries don't cure the dysphoria, and they know damn well making faux-vaginas from inverting dicks or making faux-dicks from forearm skin is barbaric and unnecessary and will never ever come even close to the real thing. They are selling expensive pipe dreams to mentally ill people, and this industry, and the culture that enables this shit, needs to be called out and shut down.

It is a very strange situation. People with body dysmorphia aren’t offered amputations and people with eating disorders aren’t offered bariatric surgery, so why are people with gender dysphoria being offered mutilating surgeries and being told that that is the best course of treatment?

The push to ban “conversion therapies” in the UK is nothing more than an effort to make the medical/surgical affirmation route the only therapeutic option for people with GD. It is simply a cynical piece of legislation that addresses a non-issue, gay conversion therapy just isn’t happening in the 21st century UK and the fact that there is no ring fencing for ethical psychological therapies for people with GD makes me suspect that outlawing anything but affirmation is the whole point.

That being said, the aesthetic cosmetic surgery and dentistry industries also need a massive investigation as well, some of the horror stories that come out about stuff that is happening in Eastern European, Turkish, SE Asian and S American surgical and dental clinics are the stuff of nightmares.

Speaking of cosmetic dentistry...

Horrible to think about. Can't imagine ruining my mouth over it, teeth aren't something to mess around with.

The problem is that to stop the Gender Medicine industry, you have to completely revamp the way the healthcare industry works and take away the profit-driven method it's currently in.

The healthcare industry will never stop this because Gender Medicine is the perfect subscription plan to bleed people/the government paying for it dry: As long as you live, they'll always believe they're ONE treatment and ONE surgery away from finally being the anime girl of their dreams. And when they finally get that one surgery and it doesn't work? Well, then there's the next surgery that'll surely do it, and the next one, and the next one...and unlike normal plastic surgery addicts who can't stop trying to make themselves their idealized view of "perfection", they can't just learn to accept their body the way it is or NOT get the surgery or else they'll kill themselves if they don't, so you'll have reason to tell them they can never give up before the next surgery happens.

You’re right, Ollie London talked about it recently on Triggernometry, describing how he travelled the world getting doctors to do more and more extreme facial surgeries until he finally realised what a massive mistake he had made.

I almost suspect this is the intention behind all of this nonsense. It's a profiteering (and social engineering) scheme. Medical firms use their leftist activist/politician puppets to promote transgenderism and force it down our throats and those of our children, then when they realize there's a hole in the suicide market, they decide to fill that too. Of course this helps save the government money that they can use instead on other ways to corrupt the nation and fuck us over.

I expect a system like this in the US, UK, and other "first world" nations imminently.

The medical industry sees the GD crowd as source of yet to be fully tapped revenue.

And the same types who will chant “PEOPLE OVER PROFITS!” in any other circumstance are fine with it, because letting mentally ill people troon out themselves or their kids scratches an idealogical itch they have.

"His surgically created vaginal opening had begun to close"

Translation: his wound finally started to scab up.

I do feel bad for the guy though. Another mental case who got duped by the cult and will end up in the meat wagon.

I generally do have sympathy for people who were lied to and fooled by 'the experts', and people suffering from mental illness, but this one is really hard to understand.

really hard to understand

From my personal experience, when something is really hard to understand / comprehend, that's when it's most likely you're dealing with an actual case of mental illness. In their minds, they truly don't live in the same world as we do.

The thing that really gets me is that this sort of outcome is generally expected, because as narcissists, nothing other than exactly what they want at all times is good enough for them. So if not getting that causes them to become suicidal, it's seen as the inevitable consequence of their life's story; their "fate". They all are so addicted to their own desires that the idea they could simply not commit suicide is seen as a worse option than suicide.

Indeed, my life is my property, and I will do with it as I please.
