If discrimination was all it took to cause a 40%+ suicide rate in a population, African-Americans, women, & Jews would have wiped themselves out long ago.

Trans people are not only accepted now, but multiple powerful governments & leaders are actively kissing their asses and changing laws to accommodate their delusions. If they're still suicidal after that, its THEIR problem! Not our problem!

Not only that but it's avoidable discrimination. They can stop the discrimination by simply changing how they present themselves in public. If they would actually rather commit suicide than change clothes, then they need to be locked up in a mental institution.

A lot of talk of suicide in the trans community. These people don't realize how much they're revealing about themselves.

I'd like to know what 'transphobia' these people claim to be facing. Based on the comments, referring to your child as the sex they were born as is reason enough for suicide.

Of course there's no explanation of what terrible experiences this suicider faced. The implication seems to be that trans people must get everything they want all the time or they're a victim of horrible oppression.

Especially disturbing to see this discourse on a women's forum. These are the methodologies of abusers.

Sadly the word "hate" is one of many that mean whatever the TRA wants it to mean at the moment.

I once got a suspension from Twitch for "hateful conduct" for sarcastically typing "only two genders?" about a video game that in fact had only two gender options. 🤡🌎

Just goes to show you that if anything transitioning only delays the suicidal ideation and doesn't fix the underlying mental health issues that were behind the suicidal ideation in the first place.

TL;DR: Guy kills himself after transitioning because it turns out people can't change sex so this guy's friend thinks we all need to police our thoughts or we're murderers.

How about we stop enabling the mentally ill instead?

It's like the guy thinks societies view of whether or not the guy is female after transition has any bearing on whether or not the guy is actually female.

You can put a dog in a pram and call it your child but it's still a dog.

At some point though I do think we should consider the social attitudes as contributing to the suicide, although not in the way this person is implying. This mentally disturbed person was led to believe that they could change their sex and that it would make them happy, when neither of those things is true. You can't change your sex, and trying to do so won't make you happy.

The real transphobia is letting the mentally ill persist in self-destructive behavior. We don't tell the heroin addict that their lifestyle is to be celebrated and criticize anyone who says anything against it as being smackphobic.

We tell the women who feel they are a bit fat that they should be "happy at any size" and that they don't need to change themselves to fit societies beauty standards. Unless that woman says she feels masculine, then it's all "well time to radically change your body through hormones and surgical intervention" and celebrated.

NGL, a transwoman killing a transwoman is a very transphobic thing to do, even if the transwoman that was killed was the same transwoman that did the killing. Shame on that transwoman!

Shit lady, maybe it was you? Don't a lot of trans people commit (or attempt) suicide? Can't all be from transphobia. Then again, transphobia has become an umbrella term for anyone who simply doesn't agree with every plank in that platform. So basically most people.
