I miss the gentleness, and tenderness that he consumed from her in a means to pass.

JFC, is that self-misogynation? Some weird form of trans masturbation? "Help, I've oppressed myself, but can't get it up?"

You hear this a lot. Basically, their "trans self" becomes a kind of alter-identity that obscures who they used to be when they were just a grungy girl who liked Nirvana and trucks. It's sad, twisted, and very, very messed up. It really is a mental, emotional, and spiritual illness.

It feels more like a variation on "it's not my fault, but the fault of everyone else who didn't try to stop this from happening" that I see from a lot of detransitioners.

For one, anyone who was transitioned as a child, it's not really their fault. Kids can't understand long term consequences and the adults around them let them down. Or in some cases, delighted in their child's transition for the social kudos and not just let them down but deliberately fucked them up.

But even for transitioning adults, it's not fully their fault. They clearly have some sort of mental illness and doctors should not be validating their delusions to the point of poisoning their bodies with artificial hormones or mutilating them through horror movie style surgeries. They wouldn't give liposuction to an anorexic. They should not be removing healthy breasts or butchering anyone's genitals. A lot of medical professionals should be in jail right now for what they are doing.
