The sheer number of de-transitions should tell these kids that this is a horrible mistake. I've heard this exact line from other women; "Brian consumed Breanna", like an alternative personality or another entity took over. It's very sad.

I actually get really mad about reddit and other SM being 'supportive' but not letting people know what can and does go wrong. People should be in possession of all the facts and selling someone a dream just feels cruel. Imagine how alone someone would feel that their surgery is the only one that's gone wrong and can then be pressured into keeping quiet and letting others make the same mistake because "their bad experience shouldn't stop others". It's infuriating.

Religious groups claim you're the most important person in the world and you matter the most until you've joined the religion, then they throw you by the wayside and treat you like you don't matter again.
