Seriously, I kept getting this ad so I checked it out. The page is all about how to 'support' a trans person in crisis:

Suicidality has a deep stigma around it, but it is normal for trans folks who live in a society that marginalizes them to struggle with suicidality.

That's right kids! It's totally appropriate to be suicidal. Don't call 911

Sometimes your friend might have coping mechanisms that feel scary to you, like substance use or self-injury. Talk to your friend about how they can do the things that work for them more safely

Actually. Don't discourage your friend from self-harming. Help them do it safely.

Now is not the time to play devil’s advocate for why their parents might misgender them or tell your friend that their transition is hard for their partner too. (There’s never a great time for that, actually.)

Don't try to have empathy for other people or suggest that a trans person is anything but a victim of terrible bigotry and hate. Don't ruin the narrative with logic and rationality.

Trans Lifeline’s operators will never call 911 on your friend without their explicit request.

What could go wrong?

Of course, if you’re susceptible to one social contagion you’re probably susceptible to others, look at the not at all anorexic Ellen Page.

Well, you got it explained.

About the other things: this reminds me of the Twitter minors who post stuff about self-harm safety, etc. Well, if they already do it, it’s good someone tried to make it safer, at least care for the wounds but I agree with you - best it should be completely stopped because it’s a danger to them. Kinda reminds me of these drug programs to supposedly stop addiction, when druggies are given some substitutes or real drugs but of a better quality than from most dealers. Weird idea to fight addiction, it’s just changing the source of drugs.

All things connected, it clearly shows how trans people are secretive about their harmful habits (including transition). I mean, some people with BPD and depression for example can become pretty toxic too, even met them, but with the trans identity it’s all multiplied. This is the worst thing that happened to younger generations since anorexia/eating disorders wave and self-had, frequency, as well as the common mental health issues. This simply intensifies already existing problems (self-harm for example) and adds a new cursed layer to it (trans).
