Seriously, I kept getting this ad so I checked it out. The page is all about how to 'support' a trans person in crisis:

Suicidality has a deep stigma around it, but it is normal for trans folks who live in a society that marginalizes them to struggle with suicidality.

That's right kids! It's totally appropriate to be suicidal. Don't call 911

Sometimes your friend might have coping mechanisms that feel scary to you, like substance use or self-injury. Talk to your friend about how they can do the things that work for them more safely

Actually. Don't discourage your friend from self-harming. Help them do it safely.

Now is not the time to play devil’s advocate for why their parents might misgender them or tell your friend that their transition is hard for their partner too. (There’s never a great time for that, actually.)

Don't try to have empathy for other people or suggest that a trans person is anything but a victim of terrible bigotry and hate. Don't ruin the narrative with logic and rationality.

Trans Lifeline’s operators will never call 911 on your friend without their explicit request.

What could go wrong?

Of course, if you’re susceptible to one social contagion you’re probably susceptible to others, look at the not at all anorexic Ellen Page.

it is normal for trans folks

Well, you got it explained.

About the other things: this reminds me of the Twitter minors who post stuff about self-harm safety, etc. Well, if they already do it, it’s good someone tried to make it safer, at least care for the wounds but I agree with you - best it should be completely stopped because it’s a danger to them. Kinda reminds me of these drug programs to supposedly stop addiction, when druggies are given some substitutes or real drugs but of a better quality than from most dealers. Weird idea to fight addiction, it’s just changing the source of drugs.

All things connected, it clearly shows how trans people are secretive about their harmful habits (including transition). I mean, some people with BPD and depression for example can become pretty toxic too, even met them, but with the trans identity it’s all multiplied. This is the worst thing that happened to younger generations since anorexia/eating disorders wave and self-had, frequency, as well as the common mental health issues. This simply intensifies already existing problems (self-harm for example) and adds a new cursed layer to it (trans).

This is a scam run by trannies. They literally just take the money and use it to travel and stuff. Null (of KiwiFarms) went into detail about this on a livestream once

TransLifeline has had a troubled past to say the least. I believe the (previous?) owner showed up at Josh's (of Kiwi Farms) house with a knife, although I could be mixing things up since it's been a while.

I certainly agree that you shouldn't use violence, such as police, on a suicidal person. Pretty fucked up thing to do, but I'm not sure how being trans changes anything.

The trans thing simply changes the thing that from now on everyone should obey the suicidal trans person and do whatever they want to do, no matter how harmful or stupid, otherwise it will be transphobia and threatening their life. For example mindlessly accepting the trans identity, whereas the underlying issue might be sexual abuse trauma or simply disgust with one’s body linked to abusive family or something like anorexia or varied mental health issues.

I mean, I think it's totally justified to use violence on a suicidal person who is actively attempting to kill themselves so long as the violence is done specifically to stop them from doing that.

Of course this is a very tricky situation and shit can go south like that.

Police are violence? Come off it. Gonna depend entirely on how shit your police are. But you can't expect families to sit around and deal with a suicidal person. They need to be institutionalized so they can't harm themselves and can't harm others.

But again depends entirely on what we are talking about. "I feel like killing myself because I'm sad" isn't exactly the same thing as "I'm about to jump off the roof".

Being trans is the reason why they are suicidal, some people think it's the solution to help them but it can only make things worse. Puts even more tension on their social situations and frankly, if they really truly believe they are the opposite sex and that's the only thing that can make them happy, then they believe that the only thing that can make them happy is something which is unachievable, meaning happiness is unachievable, meaning it's a suicidal ideology from the start.

Wow, creepy.

Fair point I guess. In some places this might not be a problem. Police, and also mental health "services", are indeed pretty shit where I live.

Police can be shit and it's a fair point if you decide not to call them on the circumstances..But to say police = violence is , pardon the stupid idiot bullshit, woke bullshit. Police can be helpful if you live in a civilized realm.

Using violence in my mind equals, tackling the person about to jump off the building/ shoot themselves in order.to prevent them to hurt themselves. I'm not in favor of violence for violences sake, but you can't standby and do nothing when someone is suicidal or franky you aren't much better than a murderer in my opinion. Slightly better, but not by much

Interesting. I believe the opposite. I don't think keeping someone alive be force is much better than making them dead be force.
