I feel a measure of sympathy for the detransitioners, but it's honestly a small one. Because, based on the well-documented behavior of other trans--threats of suicide if they don't get what they want, blowing up family and friend relationships with people trying to talk them down, and so on--I have to wonder how many of them will steadfastly try to blame everyone around them for not stopping them from wrecking themselves, and spare not a thought for the terrible hardships they inflicted on those people with their incessant drive for validation at any cost.

I give it 10-20 years, when most of the children being transed are adults who start having health problems and begin suing their parents and doctors. We’ve seen this before in society with lobotomies, the Satanic Panic, and other medical and social fads that eventually went away.
