I think it’s pretty frightening that people can look at this guy’s schtick and think “Hmm, that’s a sane individual, we should definitely validate, listen to and work with them!”.

Well, for some of the people nodding along, it's definitely a survival mechanic; getting your entire life canceled because you won't accept the troonery is an unfortunate reality, and not everyone has Rowling's level of "fuck you, fuck you all" money to fall back on.

You’re right. The average person is very much faced with the choice between nod along or potentially lose everything.

What happened to Nick Rikeita is fairly illustrative of your point. He talked about Keffals’ illegal behaviour on his YouTube channel, and found himself banned and 47 ethics complaints to his local Bar association as Keffals’ fans went after his law license and livelihood. The fact that YouTube was so quick to ban him - despite him being one of their highest earning live streamers - shows the kind of influence these individuals actually have.

I think also a lot of girly girls appreciate a man taking interest in their stuff and really to see it as flattery.

No matter what feminists may say being interested in highly feminine culture like makeup and dressing up or acting dumb to make others feel better is seen as a low status activity in our society and women who do this are belittled and ridiculed. They will jump on anyone outside their demographic who says what they do is great and has value.

Read up on the Maoist tactics during the cultural revolution and you're not that far off the dynamics happening here. Of course the internet is a different animal. The less people payed attention to social media the less it would matter.

Literally keeps saying he wants corporations to pay for his surgeries when he has this money. Sir go back to stuffing your crusty ass bra with chicken cutlets, and wearing that nasty patchy dress.
