Interesting. I've heard someone posit that we're getting AGP all wrong. It's frequently presented as men yearning for a female identity, whereas he suggested it's actually the peak of maleness. An extreme self introspection that leads to the belief of the self as the ultimate sexual object. "Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me". Which might suggest why there seems to be a correlation between certain jobs and AGPs, particularly military and computer sciences.

I've heard people call both HSTS and AGP narcissistic sexualities, which I think is a great term for them. Even if most HSTS seem to stem from internalised homophobia, there is a similar degree of narcissism to it than with AGP. The idea that you'd make a hot enough woman to be able to "turn" a straight man and defining sexuality around the self rather than the actual dynamic. That if they end up in a relationship with another man, that it's a straight relationship. That part seems to swing both ways, because there are definitely men who seem to think if they see themselves as straight any person they want to fuck must be a woman

Yeah, it's both of those things. AGPs are very male-brained and often autistic, which is why they're disproportionately in professions like the military, computer sciences, engineering, finance etc. It's also why they pass so poorly, as they have low EQ and lack an intuitive understanding of what a woman really is.
