Trans characters really aren't interesting in media to anything resembling a mass market unless you go with the "psychopath killer" angle but that's deemed as problematic ain't it? Otherwise we've got what, a strong woman who totally is a woman goes through life being affirmed by everyone? That's boring.

Hmm how about, a child that isn't loved by his family finds out he is actually a wizard this whole time, then goes off to wizard affirming school where everyone praises him for being the best wizard ever and he is good at everything he ever does because of how awesome he is. I'm sure that's a great pro-trans interesting story you'll love eh? In fact there's a great book by famous trans author Robert Galbraith just about that trans-magical experience.
