What's funny is that there have been at least a few killers who have talked about how their mothers forced them to dress as girls, either because she wanted a girl instead or she wanted to make him suffer. But, of course, acknowledging the trauma of having zero bodily autonomy and receiving severe ridicule from peers is actually transphobic and basically a hate crime. Except, however, when it's them talking about how hard it was to wear boy clothes as a child.

More than a few. The FBI found that around 25% of serial killers crossdress. (70% of families of serial killers abused drugs, 42% physically abused the kid, 30% sexually abused the kid, and 72% had a poor or non-existent relationship with their father. Almost all the families had little attachment to their surrounding community.)

Isn’t it great that we’re encouraging all these things!

Edit: found the original study and it was 20% crossdress, not 25%.

Have you got a link? I like to collect these links so I can make the reality deniers face reality.

Funny story, I remembered the first stat from reading it a while ago, but couldn’t find the paper when I was writing the comment. In trying to find it, I discovered the other stats. Now, in trying to find that paper, I rediscovered the first. Here’s the crossdressing stat. It’s 20%, not 25% and it’s a small sample, but serial killers aren’t too common lol.

It’s in the first table along with other common paraphilias. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/20369367_The_presumptive_role_of_fantasy_in_serial_homicide

Edit: here’s the paper with the rest of the stats, starting at p. 7.
