That really is the problem - a society overfilling with "sex sells", swipe apps, one-night-stands/friends-with-benefits/hookups, "normalization" of fetishes, etc., has made "sexually promiscuous" the norm and "prude" a dirty word/insult. So anyone who's "prudish" now needs to call themselves "demisexual" and cares about it (which in woke spaces matters), which benefits them in 2 ways: 1, it gets them into the acronym soup, and 2. it renames "prude" into something that's socially acceptable.

It would be absurdist comedy if it wasn't reality.

For real it's just such a porn/sex addict take. Most normal people don't want to fuck everyone they come across at every moment. Most people have feelings other than horny. ffs some of them make not horny a sexuality too with that "i'm asexual but enjoy sex" nonsense. Ironically, this generation is also having way less sex than previous generations. They are hyperfocused on defining their preferences and interests, but are not actually having sex. I wonder how many who claimed to have a non-straight identity have actually had a sexual experience.

As I said in the other thread about this poll, a slight change to the questions asked would probably bring about wholly different results (have you fucked a dude? Have you fucked a woman? Have you fucked a Troon MtF? Have you fucked a Troon ftm?).

That would sort the gays, straights, bis and pans out. My bet, a whole hell of a lot more straights and virgins.

I think that's also a side-effect of zero-tolerance approaches to relationships--basically "if she doesn't ask you to rail her right on the table, you're an entitled incel trying to pester her until she says yes"

And now we are starting to see the language of child safeguarding being used regarding adult women, I recently came across a discussion where over-18s were wondering whether they had been groomed because their partners were slightly older. Unless you mean “Puritan” in the purest definition of the term as in “pure in ideology” and not as the usual nomenclature term traditionally associated with religious fanaticism then no, this is the complete opposite of Puritanism.

It's 53% straight and 45% bisexual (of whom 20% are men who date women and pre-op/pre/hrt transmen and 20% are women who date men and AMAB nonbinaries).

When I first encountered it, "demisexual" was very clearly a defense mechanism that girls were using to fight hook-up culture and the pressure to be promiscuous. They had to turn their sexual boundaries into an identity in order for boys to even pretend to respect them.

I love how Stonewall pushes stuff like this unironically as though it makes them look good, rather than reinforcing evidence of social contagion and the fact that people are identifying as alphabet people for lazy social cache.

In my own workplace, I know of two straight, entirely gender-conforming women identifying as 'they/thems'. They would never have thought to pull this crap until a few years ago, and it would never have been tolerated.

My sexuality is non-realistic. It's the expression of a rejection of the realistic sexes with non-realistic expressions. For example all women wanting to have sex with me all the time is a non-realistic sexual identity, and when you tell me that you don't want to have sex with me that's deeply rapephobic and hurts. So today at work, an individual was telling myself and the receptionist about how someone they know works for a local school board and had to design a bathroom for students who identified as furries.

Edit: I just want to add that the bathroom for furries was to include litterboxes.

The problem with bisexuality is that it's something that nobody has to put any effort in to.Like one time you could say "that guy's cute."or two girls could act like normal teenaged girls and kiss once,and it would automatically mean you were bi.As such it wouldn't shocked me if the people saying that remembers the one moment where they've experience a small attraction to a friend.
