They're taking what is essentially a desire to be parasitic NEETs and presenting it to the world with a thin facade of Marxist ideology in an effort to give it legitimacy.

They seem to forget that Marxism was all about the workers.

Scroungers go in with the lumpenproletariat.

Which actually goes a long way to explaining all of the bullshit that he came up with. He was trying to justify his own life of not getting out there and breaking a sweat to earn his daily bread. And how better than to spin up a load about how certain people inherently deserve more for doing less, but that's okay because those certain people are looking out for the ones doing all of the icky manual labor.
