I mean are they happy or are they saying they're happy because if they don't the other option is crippling regret? Lots of people can say they're happy when they aren't and that's without the pressure of a community that will jump on them and disown them for pointing out the problems they had with the surgery. Agree that you're happy or lose everything. Then there's a misery loves company element where some of them seem to pretend to be happy and delight in others getting surgery and having health issues from it.

Sadly I think it's actually a thing. Love what happened or you're a transphobe and excised from the community. Kinda terrifying tbh.

yeah, I joke, but I know that it really is a thing. It's been a thing in LGBT circles in general for as long as I can even remember.
