This is VERY VERY MUCH a part of the Critical Childhood Studies movement that is making its way into mainstream academia in USA. You know how everything is racist now because of Critical Race Studies? The next generation of teachers is being brought up to think that protecting children is actively harmful.

What will you do to prevent this?

There's a difference from not letting children take bicycles off sweet jumps, and adults fucking 8 year-olds because it's perfectly fine if it's not done with abusive intent.
