strangers on the internet

It's a small site, some of us know each other pretty well here. It led to a brief but rather hot convo with u/Vulptex, he's a dude, but nobody's perfect.

how I paid waaay too much attention to their anatomy or positions.

They're memories from 23 years ago, when I was a young guy and in a time before porn was easily accessible online. A glance of panties in high school was a big deal. The other girl is notable because not only are there few female programmers, let alone in the top echelon of a difficult class like machine language, they certainly don't look like models. Brains and beauty in a male dominated profession, the girl was a unicorn. Never ran across any others, not that I know of anyways.

Anyways, I didn't mean to offend you. Apologies if I did.

Go on, you can get even more sexist if you tried. Why would it be strange for a woman to be hot AND smart? And even worse: why would a woman have a harder time studying a difficult class - do you think we're dumber? "Aaaww look at that woman, she managed to accomplish that, almost like a man!"

Yeah, I know I'm humoring a semi-incel here and the smartest thing to do would actually be to back off from this conversation.

I'll play devil's advocate here and say I've definitely noticed an inverse relationship between looks and intelligence. Is that a real difference or a perceived difference? Is it stronger in women than men? That I can't tell you. But I do think there's some credence to the idea that , the more attractive you are, the less value you might see in studying and the more value you'll see in socializing and partying. From the woman's perspective especially I can see the potential allure of forgoing education entirely to subsist off of a man instead and if you've got very good looks you've got an easier time of it and your choice of the bunch. Does that make the woman stupid? Quite the contrary, I think it's a smart move all things considering. But I do think it means you'll have that inverse relationship between looks as "intelligence" or rather book smarts. I don't think it's much different than the stereotype of the highschool jock football player being dumb as rocks.

Course I think some of it is just that the very attractive and smart women are already spoken for and as such don't put so much effort into attracting the attention of men because they don't need it.

Hah, no, I'm a ladies man. I absolutely love women, when they're not driving me crazy. Been with the wife for 23 years, had female internet companions since I was 14. I think we're on number 17 now. Last two died sadly, alcoholics. I love me some fucked up, crazy women.

I try to avoid talking to women irl besides family now, wifie doesn't care about internet women, but irl can be problematic. Best to avoid.

That's another thing men do better, drink. Women's livers give out way quicker. You probably think that's sexist too.

Why would it be strange for a woman to be hot AND smart?

>130 IQs are rare, and even more rare in women than men. Exceptional beauty is also not a common trait, obviously. And particularly in a field that is male dominated, women would also be uncommon.

do you think we're dumber

Most people are dumb. Look around, half of everyone you see is below average intelligence.

I mean, coming from someone who sounds quite deranged, this comment sure is something.

The smartest people in the world are women. But girls aren't pushed nearly as hard as kids, and tend to avoid complicated problems. I think IQ is inborn, but it's also use it or lose it. So there ends up being more men with high IQs, but they aren't as high as those of the fewer women among them.

Because most of the smart ones don't spend 25 hours per day getting dressed.

"Aaaww look at that woman, she managed to accomplish that, almost like a man!"

That's because women aren't usually coerced into provider roles and threatened if they fail. So if she does something it's likely entirely by her own will.

So, natural beauty is not a thing?

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

But there's always natural beauty plus cultivation.

Computer programming actually used to be a female-dominated field. I'm not sure why that changed. I will say the few who are left tend to be savants compared to their male counterparts, and it makes me mad that I don't have that kind of talent. I get the impression women have better cognitive skills in general, because they aren't distracted by always needing to be on the alert for fighting and having sex. Both things I don't care much for, but my whole body dedicates itself to that anyway. This whole game of life is so awful.

My mother was the first person in our family to use a computer, an old IBM mainframe in the 60s or 70s. A lot of the earliest work with computers was secretarial in nature, office work. Might be why.

I get the impression women have better cognitive skills in general, because they aren't distracted by always needing to be on the alert for fighting and having sex.

Women have to think about whether it's safe to go outside when it's dark, whether they're going to be raped and murdered, treated like a disposable sex toy in their last moments of life.

I can get blackout drunk, wander around at 3am and pass out in a ditch, and I'll likely be fine.

What do you mean you don't have to think about whether it's safe to go outside when it's dark? Even in safer towns it's scary, anyone could be lurking out there. Only rape is a bigger threat for women, and you act like there are no gay rapists.

But I think I'd rather sacrifice a bit of safety for quality of life. We have this idea right now that safety and survival need to come above all else...including the very things they're meant to protect. I'm even noticing this with technology; software is becoming unusable due to increasing "security" features, which you can't turn off "for your own good".

I generally have no concerns about my security unless I'm in a bad part of town and I don't think about it.

there are no gay rapists.

There's a lot less gay rapists than straight rapists. When I used to go to house parties, there were guys who would just pick up passed out chicks and try to take them home. We had to sequester them in a room. A passed out dude just had to worry about having his eyebrows shaved (hilarious) and the classic drawing of a cock n balls on his face, but nobody was gonna ass fuck him.

[–]Vulptexghost fox girl ^w^ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That's exactly why I avoid things like wild parties. Well they're not very fun for me either, but I wouldn't feel safe.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

If you went to the right kind of parties you might end up waking up chained in a basement.

There's almost no one with my variation of that fetish. I like just being imprisoned, no sex, left alone most of the time. And for several hours at the bare minimum. That really only happens in cartoons. I don't know why I find it so appealing.
