So for some context here, Mermaids a UK charity whose CEO flew her son out to Thailand at 16 to get his dick inverted, along with a few other organisations mostly notably LGBT Consortium (whose CEO Paul Roberts was the main witness today) have appealed against the Charity Commission's decision to grant LGB Alliance charity status. However, before they can challenge that decision it has to be determined if they're actually allowed to (if they have standing in this case), because it's basically unprecedented for one charity to file a claim like this against another. Which is what the current trial is about. And things are not going well for Mermaids side.

Today was a dumpster fire, under the questioning of EHRC Commissioner Akua Reindorf (who was previously involved in a review of the University of Essex where she stated Stonewall are clearly interpreting the law how they would like it to be rather than how it is), the aforementioned Paul Roberts said some pretty fucking stupid things. Including that it would be transphobic to state that a female can't be a gay man, that he personally doesn't know many butch/femme lesbian couples, that he's only skimmed the Cass report (despite his organisation signing a declaration criticising it) and that he doesn't know if men are stronger than women

So with all that being said "He at least said TWAW and TMAM" is probably about the best Mermaids can say

All im getting from this is that one organization is trying to tell another organization to stop being transphobic bigots and accept trans folx or face legal punishment for their hatred and bigotry. Clearly Mermaids is correct and the LGB alliance needs to not only accept trans ppl but also start transitioning themselves because the only true member of the lgb is the T. Sorry guys but you aren't gay, bi or lesbians you are trans so cut off your dicks and bind your tits. Stop fighting the evolution of humyxnity and just give into our demands already or we wont just stop at legal action we will come to your homes and force you to submit against your will.

The irony that mermaids are grotesque fantasy monsters that don't really exist is proof enough that Mermaids is a deeply transphobic organization and anyone who supports them is worthy of cancellation.

I like to imagine mermaids as having the upper half of a fish and the lower half of a human.

What I'm taking away from this is that a group of money-grubbing swine is trying to keep a new pig from bellying up to the trough and sticking its snout in.

That is probably exactly it.

Is the thing being recorded on video? I'd like to see it.

Nope. Trials and hearings in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland are not yet televised, except for the post-verdict sentencing hearing in some criminal cases, which has just started to happen. Damn shame, lots of misunderstandings about the law, trial outcomes and rulings could be prevented if only we could watch the proceedings and see the testimony ourselves.

I believe that the Supreme Court is televised or at least has televised sessions. But that is probably because it’s a fairly new institution having been set up only about 20 years ago.
