The white servants didn't get portraits either. Ain't about race, about being a peon.

Go to the rich black people of the time and find that indeed they had portraits done of themselves. Who would of thunk it? Oh they owned slaves as well. But that's because secretly they were white on the inside.

The white servants didn't get portraits either.

Uncle Tom had his portrait painted. He looks respectable, and all.

Uncle Tom was also guilty of cultural appropriation.

Oh is this where I'm supposed to apologize for being white? Dear conquered peoples, the history of humanity is one of constant conflict and competition for resources like land, food, water and women. You whine about the fact that Europeans were and are better at this contest than any other race of men in the world. You losers want us to regret being better at conquest and exploration than you were. You want apologies and reparations from people who were stronger and smarter than you, people who unequivocally won.

We aren't sorry and we owe you nothing.

If blacks wanted their history recorded they should've invented the written word and languages capable of expressing concepts like "past," "future," "promise," "sacrifice," and a numerical system that wasn't just "none, one, two, many."

Oh, but they did invent all of that. And then Yakub came along, uplifted us perfidious, melanin power-stealing honkies, and that's why blacks can't have nice things.

Then the evil Morlocks conquered the peace loving Eloy until the good doctor showed up with the three books.

I feel bad for the non-woke black people. It's gotta suck having self-righteous white liberals constantly reminding you that your distant family were second class subhumans.

I don't know, if it were me, I'd be a lot more upset at the black grifters pushing that narrative along for the sake of getting paid off of it in the form of eternal reparations.

Was there even that much slavery in New York?

Depends on the time period. They didn't have the same level of plantation slavery but rich people certainly had slaves and servants as part of their households. Course the North outlawed slavery fairly early in American history though servants weren't much better off than slaves save for the right to leave without getting hunted down.

What I find hilarious about this sign though is it seems to imply that the problem with slavery was that the mean old slave owner got his picture taken while the poor slaves didn't. Like I'm sure if they found a portrait where the head of the household actually included his slaves in the portrait they would criticize him for showing off his wealth. But no, slavery is wrong because the slaves don't get their portrait taken.

If the rolls were reversed, if this guy had all his slaves pictures done instead of his own, would that of made it right? Clearly not.

no then the narrative would be "the evil slaveowner used to get off, sexually, probably, on having portraits done of his slaves"

Surely with the tax dollars we pay them they can get creative. " Once the Kodiak was invented the evil white people started photo studios where they stole the souls of unwitting black people with an evil colonial invention called a camera and then used those souls to power their cars in the afterlife."

Jews do this so you won't notice they own everything and sit in key positions in cultural, education, business and government structures.

[–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

But are Jews black? Clearly they are because they were slaves in Egypt and slaves are black.

What museum is this? Unless part of the exhibition theme, this type of plaque is uncalled for and in very poor taste. The Tate pulled a milder version of this and made me lose all respect for it.
