They aren't shitting up an existing IP or trying to insert wokeness where it doesn't belong, so meh I don't really care.

Yeah, they’ve actually done the right thing, created something original featuring completely new characters with the characteristics that they want them to have rather than taking existing characters and forcing those characteristics upon them, whilst telling the pre-existing fans they’re all bigot and phobes for caring about something they’ve loved since childhood.
If only Disney, Amazon and Netflix acted this way. We should be encouraging this sort of film/television production and hoping that it is economically successful so that the studios see that they can be as woke as they like if they do it the right way.
