There has been LGBT cinema forever, not sure what’s wrong with that. Not my thing, but can’t see why this is a problem.

Exactly. Part of a question about woke media is to realize when the people making it are being completely reasonable and being fine with that.

Fighting any movie with a woman or minority in it as "too woke" only gives the woke a point and makes them more willing to fight harder.

I don’t generally care what they do as long as they’re not shitting up the characters, stories and worlds I like and they’re not trying to groom children. Trouble is, they’re currently engaged, rather heavily, in both.

I fully support the gay incest movie industry, as long as I don’t have to watch the films produced, but if they try to shoehorn gay incest into StarMarvRingsTrek or do it in a kids’ film, I will have an actual problem

Part of the reason for that is a lot of them not actually being written by gay people. It's like all those gay romance shows written by straight women, they're not for gay men, they're for straight women. That's why both protagonists are uwu softbois, so it's easier for the women to self insert

I thought the women to self-insert was similar to the popular yaoi having two handsome chad-types doing it, as part of the women's version of men who dig lesbian porn in "the real self-insertion is 'and then you walk in and see how these two hot people got so revved up with each other they both need to have you and you get both/all of them', which is slightly different than the uwu softboi form.

Yeah, they’ve actually done the right thing, created something original featuring completely new characters with the characteristics that they want them to have rather than taking existing characters and forcing those characteristics upon them, whilst telling the pre-existing fans they’re all bigot and phobes for caring about something they’ve loved since childhood.

If only Disney, Amazon and Netflix acted this way. We should be encouraging this sort of film/television production and hoping that it is economically successful so that the studios see that they can be as woke as they like if they do it the right way.

I actually watched a bit of Q-Force and it was pretty funny. It's so filled with gay stereotypes that it actually comes across as homophobic.

That show was full of decades old stereotypes and was just not very fun. I get the same feels from this thing. But I hope I'm wrong.
