This little theater shows the classic film Hocus Pocus every Halloween season. The manager/owner had heard that the trans community might be upset with Bette Midler because of this tweet:

Women of the world! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don't call us "women" anymore; they call us "birthing people" or "menstruators", and even "people with vaginas"! Don't let them erase you!

While I don't agree with Ms. Midler's promiscuous usage of the exclamation point, I wholly agree with the sentiment expressed.

So this straight dude who owns the joint tried to be woke & asked the opinion of the transwoman who worked there to see if she objected to the showing of the film. That was his first mistake. He just have just put it on the October schedule and called it a day.

The troon objected to showing the film. He overrode her decision and suggested that maybe Midler should have used inclusive language like "womyn" instead of words like "uterus-haver" and "vagina-owner".

This poor man is still living the Seattle dream of 1992 by suggesting the word "womyn" and thinking this would calm this transwoman's tits. I wish it was still the 90s and we could all hold hands and go watch Sarah McLachlan at Lilith Fair and shit, but those days are long gone.

This poor dude brought in "sensitivity trainers" and tried everything he could to appease these woke brats. That was another mistake on his part. Never apologize to these woke bullies. No apology will ever be enough for them.

In normal times an employee would just quit if they didn't like their manager. But here, these brats called for the theater to be closed down. What?

This also happened to a lesbian bar that tried to open in July in Portland. Doc Marie's had been open for one fucking day, then the woke brats got upset over something and called for the bar to be turned over to the bar staff. Kids, that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. That bar didn't reopen for an entire month while the nonsense was being sorted out. It's kinda crazy out there.
