An insane Slate article was posted recently & it triggered my latent hatred that I have for Slate. There are so many insufferable writers on that site. Let's start with this douche. This "urban cycling expert" made a video where he tells cyclists to slap cars. The comments on that piece are amazing.

Man, someone apparently hasn't been made aware of this thing called "roadrage." You don't know what the person behind the wheel has got going on in their head, and slapping their car like you have sort of holy mandate to put them in check? Yeah, that's a really good way to find yourself clinging desperately to the grill while they try to get you under the wheels.

And if you do that sort of thing to some hood motherfucker? Get shot.

Seriously people have been shot for less. You hear about these stories of people getting shot for merging and not letting them in or for beeping their horn at someone. Doesn't seem worth it.
