The West has been a very polite society for a long time. The trannies knew that and took advantage of it. Society is slow to respond, but as it becomes ever more apparent that we're being gaslighted, respond it will. I predict that we'll return to something resembling normal in 5 to 10 years.

the titanic ship of the middle class/average american is slow to turn, but when it does its inevitable. You could see the beginnings of a backlash against post modernist leftism before COVID - but now its becoming very obvious, even on reddit - the stronghold of the post modern left on the internet. The absolute clean sweep of dems out of the school board in multiple states is a testament to that.

Imagine voting for Democrats to have anything to do with children.

Honestly, given the fact that we're seeing both the left and right go to the lunatic fringe, plus the fact that the Woke weaponized people's politeness and unwillingness to be evil, I don't think we're getting to normal. I'd be more likely to bet in 5-10 years we have World War III, only this time it's battle royale mode and every human will fight everyone else to the last one standing, and they'll attack the mirror.

[–]FourteenDigitz 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah with everything else going on in the world there will be no return to normal. World tensions are the highest they’ve been since the Cold War, water around the world is drying up, and fringe radicals continue to further radicalize themselves and each other to the point of no return.

it's all about clearing a space for honest discussion. a few people were willing to put themselves out there when it was unpopular and now more and more people are doing it. soon the middle class whites who don't do anything that isn't publically approved by celebrities first will start to peak.

I think we're more likely in for an overcorrection. The harms wrought by the T will become so apparent in the next 5-10 years that we'll see an epic backlash that will take the LGB down by association.

Posie Parker has theorized that the likely resolution is a rise is social conservativism (likely theologically-based) and I suspect she's right.

I've always been pro-gay marriage and I'm certainly not supportive of persecuting anyone for being gay, but it's become increasingly difficult to separate the anything-goes-sexual-liberation movement from the gay rights movement. Sorry, friendos, men's sexual behaviour needs some fucking guardrails.

I'm tired of women and girls being told not to 'kink-shame'. If your kink involves violence, animals or kids, I will shame the fuck out of that. I keep reading articles about how we need to embrace all types of 'identities', like 'polyamory', because 'queers' are increasingly rejecting marriage. I'm supposed to just ignore the empirical evidence that 'poly' relationships and societies are bad for women and bad for kids, because gay rights or something.

It makes people inclined to throw the baby out with the bathwater, and I don't blame them.

We need a reset.

Yeah people complaining about kink shaming are retarded. What people do in private is their own business. But if you're telling me what you do in private you're making it public and it's fine to criticize. Why the fuck would you get mad that I think your fetish is gross unless you are mad that I won't participate in it with you? It's creepy as fuck.

The Ts were just a weapon brought in by the feminazis and their PC gestapo tactics. The correction will be complete once the useless but necessary for procreation sex is put back in their place. Non-simp men are rejecting marriage because the fem supremacists corrupted the courts. You're only upset that men are taking unearned privilege through word games, as women always have.

Certain “political activists” (cough online slacktivists cough vaush cough) are even going so far as so gaslight monogamous people by repeatedly spewing that pair bonding is inherently rooted in insecurity. It’s so gross.

[–]clownworlddropout 10 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

They took the social rights movements of the past and rebranded them to fit their dumb ideology, that's all. There's no "social justice" involved in denying biology and telling kids the gender fairy can make them a real boy.

[–]Newzok 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's perhaps good to be reminded that, yes, as a society boundaries are good sometimes. Doesn't even have to be legislated. This is just a result breaking down norms and overstepping in that process. It'll correct itself as we discover, by their absence, what norms to keep.

[–]clownworlddropout 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It'll correct itself eventually, but what pisses me off is right now there's a whole generation caught in the crossfire.

It’s entirely possible to be wrong about race and gay rights and right about the trans issue.

This strikes me as yet more cuckoo-shit. They cuckooed there way under the LGB umbrella and are now trying to parlay that into an argument to support their position.

[–]Horror-Swordfish 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

What's interesting to me is that you say it's possible to be wrong about one thing and right about another thing, because you're absolutely right, but consider that the quote from the OP isn't "the right is wrong about trans rights" but "the right will lose the culture war." To me, that's somewhat telling of the attitude of these people. They don't care about "right" or "wrong," just about "winning."

[–]ClassroomPast6178 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

You are absolutely spot on, just cause you’re right doesn’t mean you’ll win.

I made a rookie error!

[–]LyingSpirit472 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

If there's one problem with the Woke, it's that they were the progressive people who never learned the all important "you're not WRONG, you're just an asshole"...and more importantly, didn't realize that people would rather be wrong on the side of someone who isn't an asshole than right on the side of someone who is. (Shit, that's why Trump won in 2016- he was an asshole, but somehow Hillary seemed like MORE of one to the point people said "...I would rather be led by this idiotic piece of shit than LET HER WIN."

And then the country prospered and things started to get better. Honest dicks are better than lying pussies.

Hmm TQ2AI+ is indeed a changeling. The cuckoo's egg is a very apt metaphor. We thought it was one of us but it's a freak baby that takes over and messes everybody around.

It's the "wrong side of history" fallacy.

We don't know what way history will go so we need to form our opinions based on things other than the direction of public opinion or policy.

So boiling down issues to simply a right and wrong side is extremely simplistic and ultimately self defeating, you don't want to ally yourself with a bunch of people that will just as quickly throw you under the bus to chase the right side of history again when the winds shift.

The Nazis were on the "right side of history" if you were living in 1930's Germany. Anyone using that argument for supporting things is not someone you can trust.

Frankly I think disabled rights have many of the same problems.

If you have an actual real problem in yourself you can ask people help you out but you can't demand and force people or you create a backlash.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I am pretty okay with people demanding wheel chair access. I don't see that as the same as a man demanding to be let in the girl's restroom. Might be biased with a bum knee tho.

[–]jet199 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Disabled rights were used to get abortion banned in Poland.

They are very much used to let autists demand to be able to lear and worse at girls.

There is a crazy idea among even the most intelligent disabled people at the moment that the only thing holding them back is society and that if only they can make society put them first at all times all their problems would be over. Much like TRA.

I had an argument with someone saying this on reddit, their disability has never been a problem only people's attitude to it has been a problem. I said it's not prejudice stopping disabled people climbing up a mountain it's their disability and the nature of the world we live in. Meanwhile the reason they feel their disability isn't a problem is all the thousands of able people who have come up with ways to make their lives easier and treat illnesses. That comment got reported and deleted pretty quickly.

It's not about right vs left. It's about free speech. You will never win a culture war by trying to control what people think, feel, see, hear, and say.

The difference between yesterday's black and gay rights movements and today's trans rights movement is the former were about freedom while the latter is a suppressive authoritarian movement. They aren't fighting for the right to exist as they like to say; they have that right already. They are fighting for the ability to force you and all of society to indulge their gender delusions, and they are fighting for the right to have access to children and women's private spaces.

I feel it turning. But it'll be a while. As it happens I predict the TRA's will grow more hysterical as the detrans victims show their faces. If media allows it of course. Gotta have those ESG dollars, which I suspect is what has driven all this shit in the first place.

It's an attempt at forced-teaming, just like shoehorning the T onto LGB

The main difference between blacks/gay rights compare to trans rights is that the former two never pretended to be something they aren't.

If you listen to troons complain about how "oppressed" they are, you would literally almost think they are on the same levels as Jews during the Holocaust. Where are they "literally getting killed daily" in America? They are so delusional they think there is an actual genocide occuring against them. If anything, they are getting more integrated now than Black people and gay people ever were during their rights movements. There is a huge institutional push to integrate them that those two groups never had.
