Let's put it simple. With the current attitudes in place nothing is stopping perverts from simply pretending to be trans in order to creep on women in the toilets. All they gotta do is wear female clothing and they are allowed in. There is no vetting.

Are all trans people perverts? No. Will the current system enable perverts to pretend to be trans in order to offend? Yes. Will that reflect poorly on all trans people? Yes.

There are no "trans people," they're just people pretending to be the opposite sex.

Gender disphoria is real. While I agree there are people "pretending to be the opposite sex" in order to try to get into the pants of lesbians, there are also people who are convinced that they actually are the "opposite sex" and aren't holding such ulterior motives. As well as homosexuals that can't accept their same sex attraction for any number of potential reasons and are convinced that they are women trapped in a man's body rather than men that happen to be attracted to men.

It's a far more complicated an nuanced issue than the mainstream is willing to deal with. Biological sex is certainly real however. Bit not all trans people are so deluded to think that it is irrelevant.

I think it's primarily a mental health issue but that's taboo to say now. I've met a few trans people that are perfectly willing to say they aren't actually the opposite sex but just wish to dress and act like they are. But they aren't the types to impose themselves where they aren't very welcome either. They prefer to keep their privacy.

Sure, being unhappy with your actual gender is as real as can be said of any other emotional or mental state, but that's as far as it goes. Little Timmy isn't a new category of person for throwing a tantrum because he doesn't have tits.
