I find it funny how the same group of people who claim to want “strong female representation” appropriate ACTUAL strong female characters/historical figure for the sake of identity politics

It's always the way. Strong powerful woman? "She's actually a man" is one I've heard a lot too. Especially with Joan of Arc. The evidence being she dressed as a man. Like mate she did that so she could actually DO things. Not because of your identity nonsense.

It's just frustrating. When a woman achieved something in a time where that was basically impossible and they just dismiss all that with the "but she was a man" logic.
