Context: The character mention is Bridget from the Guilty Gear series who, despite his feminine appearance, is a boy. He was recently added in a DLC for Guilty Gear: Strive. LGBT Twitter initially celebrated after leaked dialogue of Bridget’s Arcade Mode implied that Bridget identified as a girl which lead to LGBT Twitter to assume he’s a “trans girl.” In actuality, there’s multiple endings and the ending where Bridget “identifies as a girl” was the bad ending where another character successfully groomed him into doing so.

Wasn't his whole "dress as a girl" thing something to do with him being a twin in a place where that was considered a serious problem?

Yes but as we’ve seen countless times before, SJWs don’t care about the source material.

Bridget from the Guilty Gear series

Googled it, saw an adolescent anime girl dressed as a blue nun holding a yoyo.

If that's a male character then call me flabbergasted.

Bridget was a lot of people's first exposure to traps, it was a huge meme in the Dustloop forums during the mid-2000s

There’s a reason for Bridget’s appearance. He was born in a village where having twins of the same gender is considered taboo. Bridget’s parents tried to raise him as a girl in order for him to survive. Bridget then decided to defy those traditions and live as a man despite his feminine appearance.

Troons thought they won because they kept losing the game.

I don't know about any bad or good ending - but I do know that for twenty years, Bridget has fought to be taken seriously as a boy despite being made to dress like a girl and with this last nail in the coffin he is condemned to the gender conversion his village always wanted.

And that's how it happened. With thunderous applause.

Out of curiosity, I went and checked on the TVTropes page of Guilty Gear characters when Bridget was revealed for Strive, and they immediately edited Bridget's page to swap out all male pronouns for female, like someone frantically rushed over to the page to edit it and spare no extra second, and that site is adamant on keeping the pronouns they want instead of what's canon (For example they refer to Yamato in One Piece with male pronouns despite Oda confirming she's female) even the discussion page is having a hilarious shitfit over Bridget's pronouns, and pretty much going "We're going to refer to her as female because we don't want to please transphobes"

The Fandom wiki administrators did the same thing with those characters and then locked the articles to where only THEY could edit them. In the One Piece wiki discussion about Yamato, one of the administrators threatened to ban anyone who “misgendered” Yamato.

Also, I just went to the TV Tropes discussion about Bridget you were talking about. One of the users moved the discussion for “only for those capable of participating in the discussion without being transphobic.”

The user was a 30+ year old “trans woman” who says “she’s” an “anarcho-communist” in “her” bio. “Her” profile picture is an anime character with a trans flag in the background.

Shocking, I know…

only for those capable of participating in the discussion without being transphobic.

aka no dissent, no disagreement, echo chamber only, shocker! and tbh at this point it's just clockwork to have an anime pfp with the trans flag as the background, literally no surprise.

Hey, on the topic of One Piece, do you know what's up with that one character the Ts kept saying were a "Trans woman"? Wore a mask, and had long black hair tied up. I think the name started with a Y.

Oh, I think you mean O-Kiku. The situation with that character is that unlike Yamato, her whole gender thing is fully laid out in the manga. When first introduced, she's fully feminine and has no indication that she's trans (kimonos realistically presses the bust down to be less prominent so she doesn't have the usual One Piece bust), and when someone who recognized her from the past remembers as Kikunojo, Chopper asks her "Wait you're a guy?" which she just simply responds "I'm a maiden at heart" but with no anger or anything like people expect from Western shrieking people, and it was just accepted at that and never brought up again, nor does it interfere with her skill as a samurai

With Yamato in one of the supplemental books it fully says Yamato is a she and the daughter of Kaido, and her emulating Oden down to him being male is more akin to a little girl playing pretend and saying she's Batman, and wants to be referred as Batman, which makes sense since Yamato was also shown to be very immature.

So, One Piece already has an established trans character. Heck, it has MULTIPLE trans characters but of course, SJWs are still not satisfied (and never will be) and want to claim characters they’ve taken out of context because “RePrEsEnTaTiOn!”

It's like the Planet of the Homosexuals in The Orville. There's a reason why it's such a hideous planet.
