I thought the friend was really cruel for inviting them knowing they'd be rejected like that. Either that or they were that much of a pain that they really needed that hit from reality. I do think it depends, like the friend was encouraging them. I don't think that they'd've been that bad if it wasn't for the encouragement in the first place if that makes sense?

Obviously we don't know the full story but well if you're only being told "yass man they'll love you" by your 'support' network it's going to warp your reality a bit. There's a possibility without that they wouldn't be expecting it and so wouldn't be disappointed when the inevitable happens.

Well, not throw up, but there's this weird thing where I feel like I need to be gentle with them in a gay bar to make them feel at home, while also not being interested. Also the whole looking like a man, but my brain keeps going it's a female, no, it's a guy, no it's a girl. Not effeminate as such but the frame is still like that, despite beard and belly. And the conversations i've had with them have been kinda female-brained, just in choice of topics and the way they relate to ideas and themselves. So weird.
