I agree with you totally. The apologists enable this behaviour from the troons. Gay apologists are among the worst offenders, because the troons are ruining spaces that are meant for gay men and lesbians, but these gay apologists expect me to simp for the troons.

I don't understand why gay people and women support gender ideology when it directly contradicts their own welfare. How do they not see this?

Short sightedness and a lack of critical thinking. Furthermore, a lot of women and gay men care more about looking good than integrity.

Very true. Some of the biggest supporters I've seen of gender ideology are other women, to the point of bullying and silencing other women who disagree with them.
