How can you claim to be oppressed when you have laws and rights enacted in your favor?

Because nobody wants to fuck them, no matter how many laws and rights are enacted in their favor.

They will cease to be "marginalized" only after the state mandates people to fuck them. And even then they will find something over which to claim victim status.

That's the answer right there. Troons take narcissism and the most poisonous aspects of inceldom (repackaged for woke approval) and combine them into a vile mindset whose core element is that they have a fundamental right to any sort of gratification that they could want, at a moment's notice, and with no regard for how that gratification affects anyone else (but especially those required to provide it).

Basically it relies on the fact that western middle class woke people are very uptight and get upset when people don't fit neatly into boxes.

Trans people make them feel uncomfortable and they find them disgusting.

Then the wokescolds imagine all normal people are just as intolerant and bigoted as them.

CRT is popular among them for the same reasons, they are weirdly racist and assume everyone else is the same.

And they're actually erasing the struggles of transsexuality, because that deals with biological sex which we're not allowed to talk about. They want attention and special treatment, and the politicians giving it to them only care about having a loyal voterbase. And really they just make lgbt people look stupid, and over time that makes normal people start to have a distaste for them for real.

The first rule of being an "oppressed" group- NEVER, at any second, admit you are no longer oppressed. No matter how much power you have, as long as you always claim oppression you can get more.

Make no mistake, claiming you're marginalized/oppressed is the key to continuing to get recognition and rights, and it'll never change. Even if they can literally send the people outside of their group to concentration camps, the response will be "Look how much privilege these people have. THEY get a nice quick death while WE have to suffer through the climate change they created and die slowly and horribly!"

'Trans' people are almost always white and upper middle class. People with real problems do not need to invent them.

People with real problems do not need to invent them.

You're probably right about this part. However, White people are less likely to identify as transgender (i.e. they are underrepresented among transgender people compared to their proportion of the population). Black and Hispanic people are more likely to identify as transgender (i.e. they are overrepresented among the transgender population).

Black and Hispanic trans are more likely to be homosexual. The homophobia in their communities makes them think they can't be real men/women. There isn't that same pressure in white communities where most make trans have autogynephilia.

Well, there's also the "it ties into how Oppression Olympics has taken hold, and how the goal of the game is "the only way to be truly fair and equal is to find the single most oppressed human being in the whole world, and once we've located them, crown that person king and have everyone else on earth have no other goal in life but to see their every whim fulfilled the second they want it."

99% of things which don't appear to make any sense with the TRAs can be boiled down to narcissism.

Frankly some communities need to be marginalized for the health of society as a whole. Pedophiles, revolutionaries, criminals, and yes also people with diseases both mental and otherwise.

We used to marginalize lepers and while it's not to say that justifies cruelty or otherwise diminishes the suffering they endured by having to live apart from society, it was necessary for the protection of society at large. Once medical advancements rendered the disease treatable there was no longer a need for marginalization. But that doesn't mean the disease is normalized or promoted.

The issue with trans people now is they have a kind of communicable social issue and while we should certainly view with empathy the suffering that is caused by believing you are in the wrong body and the other implications of disphoria we should not be promoting the full adoption and lifestyle changes these people want in the public sphere. That's a kind of discussion that needs to happen between them and a professional therapist with their best interests in mind. It's not something that should be politicized as it is nor is it something that the amoral capitalistic medical lobby get their talons into as they'll always choose the drugs and surgery option as it creates lifetime patients and profits for them.

You can say the fucking exact thing about women.

    [–]jet199 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Yep

Women are not oppressed in the West unless they are part of a community which can't be criticised.
