If you want to have any chance of me honoring your self identity then trying to dictate how I communicate is the worst way to go about it. Why? Because in doing so you out yourself as a narcissistic twat and I will deadname and misgender you simply out of spite.

Trans men (females) often say they don't get dysphoria over their name or pronouns until they transition.

Basically every time they hear their name or correct pronouns it let's them know they aren't passing and then they hate themselves.

There was a special i listened to on NPR in which they described how the more drastic a decision a person makes the more intensely they will experience cognitive dissonance in the face of evidence proving their decision was wrong. They didn't bring up the whole transgender issue but everything they said kept screaming this is literally how the trans issue is playing out.

I have a friend that was going on about her trans wife and others getting deadnamed at a university graduation ceremony. She acted like it was the worst thing ever to happen. All I could think was a) did they even change their legal names and b) how are there that many trans graduating at one time if it's not a trend? But I kept my mouth shut because it's better to let her figure these things out on her own or else she doubles down.

Laughing my ass off. Personally I don't mind people transitioning and changing their names, but the sanctimony and absurdity always makes me laugh.

Lol they ACT like it's gonna melt them, though. They act like it's dangerous, like it's "literal violence." That's the funny part.

Words are violence, silence is violence, literally anything they disagree with is violence.

Thus justifying extremism in their minds as it's "self-defense" to run around destroying the careers of anybody they don't like or disagree with.

Lol you're not the first person to have made that analogy. A lot of people thought of that on Ovarit as well
