This reaction isn't a surprise though. How many years have the wokies/left--led by the feminists--been beating the drum that men are toxic, that masculinity is abhorrent and dangerous. They want men beat down, broken, and trained to not only accept whatever shit is piled on top of them without question, but that the shit being piled on them was entirely their fault to begin with (does that attitude sound at all familiar to anyone), and that the wokies/left (again, led by the feminists) are their only solace.

(Their crying about these men being radicalized in various holes and dark corners of the Internet is, in my opinion, more to do with outrage that someone else is poaching on their ready-made victims than anything else. Nothing a fucking cultist hates like competition.)

So the idea of men making strong and supportive bonds with anyone, but other men in particular? Of having those bonds play a role in men regaining their self-respect, their ability to think for themselves, and their willingness to drop the people that are actively harmful to them? Yeah, that'd make the drones (and their handlers) all kinds of angry.

I also think the way people react to men having healthy friendships or reacting outside the norm is to blame. Two guys have a healthy relationship with each other? Clearly they’re gay undercover lovers who can’t come out quite yet and are such small UwU beans!! Men expressing themselves through traditionally feminine means like baking, sewing, or other art types? Clearly a closeted gay dude who can only express himself like a woman! I think that’s the reason men feel so vulnerable in expressing their emotions: every time they do, they’re no longer treated like a person and more like an UwU smol bean, which is condescending and rude.

And a lot of that is driven by women. I might see or hear a guy make a "lol homos" crack about two guys being bros, but it's almost always a one-off thing and quickly forgotten. But women? They'll latch on to that shit with a terrifying fervor and spin an entire reality around it. There was boy band, One Direction I think, that had some really insane--to the point where the members themselves actually became unpleasantly aware of it--gay shipping going on with its members, and almost all of it from women. And I know that male k-pop groups have to deal with it too, again almost entirely from women.

But that's not evidence of toxic femininity, is it? No such thing exists.

Bullshit.

He's talking about a fandom phenomena, so he's right. But like 99% of ff readers/participants are normal women who want to masturbate to hot gay sex and don't actually believe fanfiction is real.
