This reaction isn't a surprise though. How many years have the wokies/left--led by the feminists--been beating the drum that men are toxic, that masculinity is abhorrent and dangerous. They want men beat down, broken, and trained to not only accept whatever shit is piled on top of them without question, but that the shit being piled on them was entirely their fault to begin with (does that attitude sound at all familiar to anyone), and that the wokies/left (again, led by the feminists) are their only solace.

(Their crying about these men being radicalized in various holes and dark corners of the Internet is, in my opinion, more to do with outrage that someone else is poaching on their ready-made victims than anything else. Nothing a fucking cultist hates like competition.)

So the idea of men making strong and supportive bonds with anyone, but other men in particular? Of having those bonds play a role in men regaining their self-respect, their ability to think for themselves, and their willingness to drop the people that are actively harmful to them? Yeah, that'd make the drones (and their handlers) all kinds of angry.

I also think the way people react to men having healthy friendships or reacting outside the norm is to blame. Two guys have a healthy relationship with each other? Clearly they’re gay undercover lovers who can’t come out quite yet and are such small UwU beans!! Men expressing themselves through traditionally feminine means like baking, sewing, or other art types? Clearly a closeted gay dude who can only express himself like a woman! I think that’s the reason men feel so vulnerable in expressing their emotions: every time they do, they’re no longer treated like a person and more like an UwU smol bean, which is condescending and rude.

And a lot of that is driven by women. I might see or hear a guy make a "lol homos" crack about two guys being bros, but it's almost always a one-off thing and quickly forgotten. But women? They'll latch on to that shit with a terrifying fervor and spin an entire reality around it. There was boy band, One Direction I think, that had some really insane--to the point where the members themselves actually became unpleasantly aware of it--gay shipping going on with its members, and almost all of it from women. And I know that male k-pop groups have to deal with it too, again almost entirely from women.

But that's not evidence of toxic femininity, is it? No such thing exists.

Ehhhhhh...

In 99% of situations the people who'll throw the word "fag" around two close friends won't be women, let me tell you.

This is disgusting, but is this really a common thing outside of boy bands and online mlm fandoms?

Its pretty common in tv show fandoms, for example supernatural and sherlock spring to mind.

The boy band thing happens bc the fangirls want a reason to write gay porn to masturbate to.

Shit, weren't there examples of at least two members of the band who were good friends and enjoyed hanging out together, who had to stop hanging out because of all the shipping?

Bullshit.

[–]Cass 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He's talking about a fandom phenomena, so he's right. But like 99% of ff readers/participants are normal women who want to masturbate to hot gay sex and don't actually believe fanfiction is real.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This is such huge bullshit.

Men are afraid of being closer to each other in fear of reaction of other men, not because of silly fantasions of some teenager girls.

Nah its used as a weapon against you, mostly by women.

Like the Iliad. Since about 300BC people thought that because Patrocles and Achilles were best buds this meant they also performed ass fuckery on each other. About 10 years ago I thought we as a society were getting away from this retarded mindset.

The worst thing is that they also do this for women with wrongthink. Only rightthink women deserve their support. The bullying is fucking vicious.

Women, gays, minorities, anyone who steps out of their respective group and starts to question the narrative, is an enemy. The cult hates competition, sure, but apostates are hated on a whole different level.

It's funny to imagine how many of said apostates and heretics ended up in this very saidit after reddit banned the original one.

While I'm sure that the greater part of the reason for our ban was TiA's open contempt for troons (Reddit's extra-most specialest protected class), I wouldn't be surprised to learn that a smaller part was the broad spectrum of people posting, particularly those who were mostly (or even entirely) left in pretty much every regard.

Though the troons focus in the last year or so might have made it seem like that was the only thing we ever talked about, we covered a lot of outright insanity and "oh, this never happens until it actually does" behavior, and that drew in a LOT of people who had otherwise had nothing else in common but shock and disgust (and maybe a little fear too) that this sort thing had progressed to such levels.

And that open display of dissent, of people who were supposed to be "allies" expressing their disapproval with the program? Well, that'd be about the one thing that Reddit's admins could tolerate less than us alt-right chuds :D.

Now that you mention it, I do recall seeing some leftists on the old TiA complaining about current trends, more specifically on how much attention trans and queer were receiving to the point where class rights were disregarded or outright ignored.

"Allies", heh. Their own people, tumblr or twitter users, with multicultural tolerance, middle-upper class lifestyles and jobs, criticizing troons on their very own platform. I imagine it must have put some male panties in a twist at Reddit HQ.

While touching grass, I noticed how the majority of men don't actually give a shit or two about what online feminists say or don't say.

They're not that sensitive lol

[–]LyingSpirit472 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

If you break someone enough and destroy them in every way, sometimes those people will break bad.

Likewise, it's entirely likely the drones/their handlers openly WANT some people to break bad, because every time a person breaks bad and does an atrocity, that's one more reason they can point to and say "see? This is proof we're right to act like this!"

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 3 fun -  (8 children)

I personally think that the majority of young people, not just men, are just that addicted to internet and parasocial relationship with content creators, that they are too lazy/ don't feel the need to seek contact with their peers in real life. Why bother going outside to meet with your friends when you can just open discord/youtube/instagram/twitch and talk to people online?

[–]On_WheelsWe need to secure the existence of the gay race 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

From my POV as 20-something year old guy, there aren't that many ways to get to know people besides jobs and college. On the internet, there's a near endless variety of people to meet and identities to create. Especially when you have been using it for most of your life.

Bars. Hobbies. Church. Hiking. Sports. Literally anything. You just gotta get offline and look. The internet is easier but it's like junk food for socialization. If you eat McDonald's everyday you'll not get good nutrition and you'll get fat and lazy, but it's easy. If you use the internet as a substitute for IRL socialization it's safe and easy but it's gonna make you lame.

Well, if you're close enough to people online, you can still give them the kicks in the ass and the friendship they need there as well.

4chan is known for demonic racism, radicalizing, bullying and hate

as if Twitter isn't exactly the same

No surprise. They deny to see men as people. For them, men can be only agents of evil, cis-hetero-patriarchal society and therefore can’t grasp any good ideas or feelings. The woke side thinks that certain places in web are 100% bad. They also don’t have a clue about real friendship, here comes the 1000 buzzwords list of queer orientations, including these associated with platonic feelings or things normal people would call friendship.

When their only values are sex and doing things for the clout, there can be no real friendship.
