I think it's despicable that she (was probably pressured into) resigning over this. It's obviously a joke. Considering that women actually have had to deal with pharmacists choosing not to fill birth control or misoprostol prescriptions because of the pharmacists beliefs what's so bad about her joking about not filling an old mans prescription because of his beliefs? And how would she be able to tell the political views or voting history of her patients anyway, unless they literally walked in wearing MAGA hats?

I just find it suspect that women are typically the ones who are punished IRL the hardest when they make small gaffes especially online. Thinking about that woman who got fired after joking about getting AIDS while travelling to Africa too. You think the average man hasn't said or done things as bad or worse than that? and most of them don't get fired/ ostracized over it.

like come one there are plenty of doctors who have accidentally killed people and they weren't even fired for it.
