The full story is a little bit yeesh, probably not a great decision on the part of the organisers.

Even if they didn’t mean it to be threatening, they just handed a PR win to the TRAs.

Agreed especially when the tradition is burning dictators than switching to this. Can't really disagree with the rhee rhee on this one. But should be an indicator of the resentment and backlash spreading. I've long said that if the LGBTQIA2S+ doesn't take measures to reign in the acronym expansion and take measures to address the concerns of their detractors they will experience victory for a time but slowly and surely allow for the buildup of resistance and resentment until such a time as the mainstream viewpoint swings back in the other direction and they are supressed again. Rather than seeing this and asking clear questions like "why do normal people hate us?" They're going with the take "normal people are evil bigots" which just accelerates the process.

I can't imagine why anyone would consider trans women to be dictators.

Funny the reddit flood have learnt nothing over the past week.

This is why you will keep being silenced and bullied. It will be your jobs and bank accounts you lose next, you know.

Sarcastic take aside the real problem is actually that they legitamately can't understand why people don't like them. Very narcissistic.

It ok, they talk about hatred towards them, drown them out with all the screen shots of all the hatred they spew.

This was a bad decision. Generally speaking, dramatically burning effigies loses you credibility.

Plus it validates the TRAs’ “they’re trying to genocide us!!” It’s mean-spirited and vaguely threatening. Best not to give them fuel so to speak. Now they can point to this dumb thing.

Sheeit, the sheriff's son a while back, Brent Thomas, lit a cross on fire on a black person's yard. And murdered a dude in another incident. Dude was a menace. Cost his dad his sheriff gig but he didn't go to prison.

Kinda feel like the issue is burning things on other people's property in these situations. Not whatever you want to do in your own backyard.

Would think the murder is the bigger issue.

I believe the official story was it was an unintentional discharge.

They have the whole world bending over backwards to kiss their ass and ignore reality for them and they still play the victim. When will people learn it’s never good enough for them.
