You're goddamn right. And yeah, I don't want to take away from the number of people who read my posts or found them interesting or useful in some way. But at the same time, I'd kinda like to have both.
And for anyone else who'll find it useful, another user has pointed me to a recovery tool that works on deleted comments: https://camas.unddit.com
Unlike Reveddit, this one actually works and is amazing. It recovered all 2679 of my comments, which is an embarrassingly large number of words. But I'm just so happy to have them back!
Okay, I definitely need to touch grass right about now. But not before saving those comments into a format more convenient for archiving.
