I think unless some very charismatic candidate like Obama shows up for the Dems, the Republicans can just prop up the corpse of Nixon and still win. And the redditor (mods) will be absolutely baffled the Dems didn't win.

Not baffled, they will go full force into the rhetoric of "muh stolen elections!" and how the republicans cheated and tampered and such. I give it a year after a new Republican President and this shit will either be cemented into American society or in the anals of histor.y
