I had some moron on this site take a similar line with me. All heterosexual sex is exploitative, women don't orgasm from it and view it as something transactional, etc.
"We just want to get married and visit each other in the hospital." Yeah, the FUCK you do.

That might've been me. I do legitimately believe that because of the physical power imbalance, the evo-psychological difference in perceptions of sex so they're kind of talking past eachother on the matter agreeing to different things, and the risk of pregnancy (which is the most dangerous thing still done by anyone in the developed world), a woman cannot legitimately consent to sex with a man. I just also legitimately believe that the language used in this is a load of pretentious old tosh, that Critical Theory sociology is the bane of human existence, and that heterosexuality is not necessarily founded on normative constraints.

I really don't want to go full-blown neckbeard here, but the notion of some power imbalance that favors men strikes me as absurd (outside of a few places in the third world).
We live in something that's one notch short of a matriarchal dystopia. The system is geared for women to succeed in so many ways. Affirmative action, educational attainment, divorce laws, social programs, dial-a-Chad dating apps... the developed world places no duties on its women beyond "self-actualization."
Promiscuous sterility (the opposite of what serves society) is elevated to an ideal. "You go, girl! Suck out that fetus so you can make PowerPoints all day!"
Hillary Clinton says women are the primary victims of war. Isabella Malbin (who I still love) says women are the primary victims of transgenderism. I guess we're supposed to overlook the men getting shot in the first example, and the men getting castrated in the second?
It just goes to show how even smart women are (like you) absolutely blind to what's happening to men. It's like genocide, but so much worse that there's not even a name for it.

I understand that there is a social power gap in favor of women, it is one of the reasons I'm so in favor of propping up MGTOW and/or long-distance relationships in part as ways for heterosexual men to avoid getting utterly shafted in dating and in divorce courts. The purely-physical strength gap, however, does also exist, and is relevant in sexual situations.

If I had things to do all over again, I'd just go to prostitutes. I suspect many men my age feel this way.
I don't look at it as a MGTOW thing. I love my wife and my ex-wife dearly and I don't think either one has exploited me financially.
There's just so much pain associated with keeping a marriage together nowadays. The support you get from outside the marriage (and, frankly, from the children) is less than zero. They're all fucking circling vultures, horny for discord.

Yeah, but what about the mental power imbalance.
