Bad diet, not leaving the house, porn addiction.

I feel like there must be something more to this psychologically...In all seriousness, I can't claim to be innocent of any of those offenses you listed, and I am completely baffled by the mental state of anyone who identifies as an 'otherkin'.

The thing is all those things are massively psychologically destructive. Look at the effect of low vitamin D on suicide rates.

Getting the simple stuff right matters.

I don't think there's anything wrong with him. If acting like a wolf is what he enjoys and he's not hurting anybody then why shouldn't he enjoy himself?

You are right, that was a poor choice of words, and narrow minded of me in a way that is not consistent with my beliefs. I'll try again.

There is nothing wrong with this at all, I think I just have a hard time understanding this, and it leads me to be less empathetic than I would like to be. I would imagine that these people get ridiculed, and the fact that they are willing to put this out there anyway is actually quite admirable. However, the strength of their convictions about something so peculiar, only makes me more confused in some ways. We have psychological conditions like gender dysphoria, and the sociological nature of gender roles to give me a framework for understanding ideas about gender identity (even if I don't always agree with them), but I don't have a lot of context in which to understand the idea of 'otherkin', so it seems very strange to me.

He isn't saying he's acting. He's saying he's connecting with his inner ancestry. I don't think that's what he is doing, but that's the bs he's selling. And he is selling it. He is inviting people to his outings, by talking about his collar which is very un-wolf-like and talking about his "wittle ears" which is him making it sound child-like.

"Wolf ancestry"

"Wear my favi collar"

"Let's be wild"

Last I checked an actual wild wolf would maul the shit out of you if you tried to collar it.
