I bet a white person posted this, why do so many people hate themselves unconditionally?

[–]jet199 6 insightful - 5 fun6 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 5 fun -  (3 children)

They don't hate themselves.

They hate the white people they are in competition with and want to push them down by whatever means.

The middle class hate the poor and the rich hate the middle class.

Here they are talking about white people having braids, which is more common among poor white people who actually live along side black people. The middle class can then declare that's racist and get a whole big wedge of society cancelled and taken out of the game.

there's that and also just being brainwashed since birth by the media which is run by the rich who use divide and conquer tactics to keep power.

Divide and conquer would be making you hate the other groups, not your own.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

that's exactly what they are doing

Disagree with u/jet199 's take. It's more than class warfare. For me, where I'm from in the U.S. is very racially segregated, to the point that there are marked differences in the personalities of whites and the majority race. I personally hated hanging around whites where I'm from because their personalities were generally rancid. All my friends were the majority race and I was resentful that whites, including my own family, were very racist to them. The majority race was also a bit racist to me, but it was very mild and I felt bad about my friends having to go through a more extreme version. Also, while non-whites have a lot of legitimate struggles in the U.S., sometimes whitey is used as a scapegoat when that isn't the real issue. So it's easy to instill guilt that way.

TLDR: culture and ignorance all around.

edit: I am white.

The majority race was also a bit racist to me

But that was okay because of their race.

[–]usehernameredditgender 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

It wasn't okay, but it was mild compared to the kind of racism they faced from whites.

[–]Node 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (9 children)

What was the reason for the racism from whites?

[–]usehernameredditgender 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Idk if it was made clear but I am white. My family used to tell me I couldn't be around the majority race because they were all members of [insert gang] which was completely false.

[–]Node 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

Being in a gang or not is irrelevant, as is the reason your family lived there in the first place. The reason to not be around them is because they're a non-White corruption.

._. You're psycho.

So your parents concern wasn't misplaced. The dindus did corrupt you.

Oh, Node.

There are color blind racists now!

People pretty much only say “the color of their skin” if they’re colorblind racists denying that racism/culture/race-based experiences are a thing that occur. “Why should there be a scholarship based on skin color?” “What do you mean someone would read different books and listen to different music because of the color of their skin? That’s racist!”

Whole thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/FragileWhiteRedditor/comments/r8tp0o/this_would_be_a_good_point_if_it_wasnt_in_defense/

I tried to read through some of the comments in that thread and I just... these people's brains must be wired differently or something. There are so many contradictions I legit can't understand what they're saying.

these people's brains must be wired differently

Its not that their brains are wired differently. Its because their brains were never wired at all

I think what this kiddo is trying to say is that:

1) Color of skin is not a motivator listening to some kinds of music

2) Some kinds of music attract a demographic that will have X ethnic background

To assume #1 is to focus on the color of skin in a manner that's racist, where the skin is more of an issue than the music and the audience that tends to like it. To consider #2 is not racist as it addresses music and its audiences, focusing on the role of the music.

He's saying people who want to disregard race are color blind racists.

These color blind racists are "denying that racism/culture/race-based experiences are a thing that occur. “

There he means white people should feel bad, this is a anti-white dog whistle. For who doesn't experience racism, have culture, or "race-based experiences" except for white people. I mean not really, but that's commonly accepted. Nobody even questioned that. It's language to exclude exactly one group.

Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes I think of review of Woody Allen's early movies by a black reviewer, who noted that Woody doesn't see black people (NYC). I wouldn't say that Woody was racist at the time. But something we'd not usually say (I think) is that Woody's early stories are mainly about himself, relationships and friends and associates who happen to be Jewish, to the exclusion of most other groups.

They should never have taught coloureds to read
