I enjoyed it.

Edit: I mean he is literally going against his own complaints that female characters now are too perfect and don't have any struggles to get what they want.

As soon as there is a female character who isn't perfect and is driven by her flaws then she's "unlikable".

Hitler Galadriel is great and highly watchable. You aren't supposed to like her, you are supposed to realise she is making loads of of bad choices because she is a radicalised extremist and being on the side of good doesn't that OK.

Also saying that the Sauron stuff was obvious when that was leaked months ago is petty. If he hadn't read the leaks would it be obvious, we'll never know.

It was shitty writing, period. The character, plot, subtext, logic, consistency, etc were all absent. Some elements were passable, but not enough, mostly dependent on memberberries from Peter Jackson. The CGI city scenes were the only exceptionally good parts.

This new Mary Sue Galadriel is not the same character at all, with poorly written dialogue, in poorly conceived scenarios, with implausible story arcs, and ludicrous plots. It's not just her at all, but that's a huge part of the problem.

It was obvious to me. All of it. No subtlety, no subtext, all on the nose and boring.

House Of The Dragons is the opposite.

I am probably the biggest Tolkien nerd on this entire platform. RoP was the most offensive thing I have seen in a long time.
