Toilet thoughts work for me.

I remember standing at a urinal while having a quasi-flashback as the wall tiles in front of me slowly breathed. This still happens if I zone out n front of repeated patterns.

As this was happening the concept of derivation clicked on my head, and I though "oh shit, that's what they are describing".

The technical descriptions were crap, and it was a "weed out" class.

IMO the descriptions used in mathematics are generally only useful if you already understand the concept.

The education process would be greatly improved if those who teach could expand their minds, and get out if their own heads.

Bonus points if they teach while releiving themselves.
