The Internet is a very hostile place if you're not wary of the man hiding around the corner with his camera. Its very sad knowing the Internet was meant to bring people together and let them express themselves; now our lives are bound by it and we depend on our online reputation.

That being said, I know that law enforcement needs to have access to some sort of information to catch criminals; however, there's no way to do that conservatively in this race to the bottom of destroying online privacy.
