Women often won't put their hands up if they fear conflict or being attacked/shamed for their question or opinion.

White men are more likely to put their hands up because they are fearless.

You want more diverse questions, remove fear and intolerance from your talks and debates.

I've actually been in talks where this sort of thing has happened. The host has said something like "seeing as this is a a talk about women/feminism we seem to be hearing a lot from men, would a few women like to ask questions?"

They forgot that an hour earlier they randomly proclaimed "of course we all know Marxism is the best way/of course we all hate brexit/of course we all agree transwomen are women" and as soon as something like that is said you could see every woman in the room sit back and think "I'm not myself getting involved in that" or "I don't want to argue with a person so sure of that" even if they might be on that side just with a more nuanced take.

These people often live in a bubble where everyone completely agrees so the fact their convictions might offend, scare off people or make themselves seem myopic is usually a big surprise to them. They are often really sorry when you point this out. But then it's too late.

Wherever whitey is nominally in charge you will find a nice place to live. Wherever you don't find whitey you'll find a 3rd world shithole. Looks like they want to be a shithole.
