Actually, it's not exactly true. If you read the Wikipedia and IMDb trivia you'll find little things there. For example, the meth mouth guy with a few teeth has an inherited problem and was asked by the documentarians to remove his teeth for the interviews. I can't recall the other bits that were slanted.
