This article is still pushing the Russians-influenced-the-presidential-election agenda. Why don't we give this meme a rest? Yes, Facebook is spying on you and you should have deactivated your account long ago.

Deactivating is not the same as deleting or removing all data, however.

Yes. I've heard from a lot of people who had trouble deleting their accounts but it may be easier nowadays. I used it for two days and did not like it at all. That was years ago.
